I was denied 6 years ago after my N-400 interview because I was on probation for 1 year for running a school bus stop arm violation. I basically failed the good moral character. I had decided to wait 5 years and re apply the N-400. The original interview went very well and I do believe I would have passed if not for the good moral character violation. I have a very clean slate the last 5 years. I am now on step 3 waiting for the interview. My questions this. Is it possible that the interview would not be necessary? I did not need to go in for a new bio metrics appointment as that box is already checked. In some cases, a biometrics appointment and/or an interview will not be necessary.
