  1. Hi there! Applying for IR1; would any of you know if there's a required period that I should enter the US once I get my visa? For example, am I required to fly within 3 months after receipt of visa? I have an interview scheduled in May but I am worried that I might be forced to leave Manila right away since I still have a few things to take care of and might not be able to leave until December. I would appreciate any insights! Thank you

  4. Not sure if this applies to everyone, but when I tried clicking the "reschedule appointment" tab, it showed me that a lot of slots are available at the moment. Just sharing in case it works for first time schedulers who still haven't booked their appointments. 5. If you only have time to check once, I think between 10AM-11AM Philippine Time is a good option. I've read that sometimes they randomly open up slots during the wee hours (like 3AM), but I think 11AM would still be okay since I was able to book at 12:41PM. I also think they open slots for both biometrics and interview at the same time, but the interview slots get snatched up more quickly--probably because there's higher demand. You don't have to worry about opening another site though! When you book your biometrics first, you just have to wait a bit for the site to redirect you to the interview slots. It looks exactly the same, but instead of "OFC MANILA", it'll be "Manila IV" if I remember correctly. In the off chance that you only book your biometrics schedule, I think you'll be able to book your interview on a separate date when they release slots again (maybe this is the reason why the number of slots for biometrics and visa interview are not equal).
  6. Hi Renz and Pat! I booked the slots at 12:41PM, Philippine time and I am in Manila. There were still a handful of slots available for the biometrics at that time (probably 100+), but the slots for the interview itself was probably around 50 or less. From what I've read, the best practice would be to regularly check the website at specific times (e.g. 12MN, 11AM, 5PM) so you don't miss it.
  7. Hi, Marya! I appreciate the help. Would you happen to know the requirements for the biometrics? like what documents to bring and if there's a specific dress code (e.g. white top with collar)? Thank you so much!
  8. OH MY GOSH THANK YOU!!! I finally booked schedules for both my biometrics and interview. If it weren't for you, I probably would have missed all the slots. I hope you're blessed tenfold!! ❤️
  9. Hi there! Newbie here I was sent an email from Manila IV Info saying "Complete the biometrics and photo collection process at the Visa Application Center (VAC) before your visa interview " and I made a profile on this website (https://www.usvisascheduling.com/en-US/.). However, when I reached the schedule appointment portion, no slots were available. My question is: in the event that I magically chance upon a slot, is the appointment referring to the Biometrics taking only? or is this the actual Interview already? I'm just a bit confused and hesitant since I haven't done my Medical requirements yet. I know that I should have it done before the interview, but should it be done even before the biometrics schedule? Would appreciate any insight or help! Thank you so much
