  1. I do not have a job yet, and I am still looking for jobs right now. I don't have funds yet. I'm looking forward to getting a job already so I can save money for getting a N-400.
  2. Oh so even if my greencard expires in april 2026, i still can get an ADIT stamp after it expires next year? (if I dont apply for naturalization yet or my I-90 is still processing)?
  3. i just called USCIS for an infopass appointment and they said they call me back within 30 days. Let's say i will have the stamp by march. My greencard expires in april 2026. Worst case scenario, my i-90 is still processing, (if i wasn't able to file for naturalization yet) If i renew my I-551 before march 2026, and my GC expires april 2026, would it cause any problem? Will it not let me file for I-551 with an expired greencard?
  4. Worst case scenario: if my I90 still processing when my greencard is expiring next year, can i still get I-551 even if my greencard is expired? I filed for a replacement, not for a renewal so i am not eligible for the 36 month extension
  5. That's the thing. I also lost my social security card. It was unrestricted though. I only have pictures of them on my phone. I cannot currently get a replacement social security card because I don’t have my physical green card. :(( And yes I have plans for naturalization but I was given the impression that I need to wait for my physical greencard before I can apply for naturalization. i did not move since filing I-90. Can i get an I-551 stamp even though I'm still actively looking for a job?
  6. Hello, I am a lawful permanent resident since 2016. My mom worked here in the US for 20+ years and she petitioned us when she had her greencard. When we got here in 2016, we received our greencard months later. Sadly, i misplaced my greencard last 2023, and I immediately filed for I-90. I already did the biometrics so I am just waiting for it. The receipt notice i received didn’t say anything about an extension. Only the acknowledgement that they received my application and the other is the biometrics appointment itself. I read that LPRs who filed I-90 are eligible for a 36 month extension. I am worried because my greencard will expire in 2026. Am I still eligible for the extension? Despite them not saying it's approved yet and them didn't put it in my receipt notice? And is it an acceptable document if I file for I-551? Which by the way, I am currently looking for a job, and I really want to get one before I get hired so I don’t have delays getting it. Can I still get an I-551 even though I am actively looking for a job? Or should I wait for me to get hired so I can have a reason? I am panicking right now. I feel like it's the end of the world for me. And my family is disappointed with me because I lost it. I appreciate all of your help. English is not my first language. Sorry.
