My mom's i-130 recently got approved and is being sent to NVC.
I have a few questions about consulate wait times!
Since she is iranian there is no embassy there, and I have been reading that they will send her case either to Yerevan, Abu Dhabi or Turkey? The wait times on these are all over a year and half as it seems.
She is 76 years old, so I wanted to know if anyone has had success transferring their case to an embassy outside of these 3 countries? She has family she would like to visit in europe and can get a schengen to stay for a few weeks so we were trying to see if we can get her interview set somewhere in the schengen area? Or is this not a possibility if she is not a resident?
Another question I had was when to ask NVC to change her consulate or embassy(specially if she is given abu dhabi should we move it to yerevan?)? After DQ or before?
Additionally, has anyone had success with interview waivers for people just under 80?
