Hi friends. I live in Morocco and I have complete the kafala procedure for my daughter and have full guardianship over here in Morocco. However, when I attempt to file immigration paperwork (I600/I600A/N600K) for the US to finalize the adoption, I am finding I am ineligible because I have a relationship with the biological mother. I also understand that I am not eligible for the I130 because kafala is not considered full legal custody. Has anyone had success in a situation like this or know what I could do?
