  1. Yes I already submitted it and interview is soon. I was worried if I made a mistake. For annual income section(not the tax section) I put my annual salary plus average business income which is only 3k. I thought it must only be a reasonable estimate. Should I attempt to update anything? my annual salary is well over the poverty limit for household size 2.
  2. thank you. Yes I put line 9 for tax return fields/sections. but for the current annual income field I put my expected annual income according to my employment letter. Would that be okay? Does that number have to match a spesific amount based on calculation? I mean this: if my annual salary is 100k and I have side business that makes 2-5k a year, I put 103k for current annual income. Would that be mistake? I know for tax return fields it must be a calculation of tax records.
  3. Hi crazy cat, for my i864 as current annual income I put my annual salary before taxes. I don’t know what gross salary mean in your formula. basically my salary is 76,223.00 a year before taxes or deductions. And I put that amount or 77k. Was it a mistake? My take home after taxes etc is 4K a month and it makes 4x12=48k but instead I put 77k. I just want to know if I need to update it. thanks.
  4. I am a full time salaried employee. My employer gave me a letter that my salary is 76,223.00. This is before taxes or any deduction. I also have a business that only makes between 2k-3k a year. It’s self employment so i can’t know exact amount but it is something between 2000-3000. so on the annual income line, is it okay if I put 76,223.00 plus 2k =78,223.00. I put only 76,223.00 because it’s well over guideline but did I make a mistake because it is before taxes?
  5. Thank you for answer. I did not print and sign it. I just emailed (pdf TurboTax generated) it to my spouse to print. My spouse wouldn’t receive it on time if I mail it now, her interview is in 3 days. Did I make a mistake? Should I worry?
  6. hi sorry to hijack conversation, but do we need to print and sign tax returns? I filed my 2024 taxes online with TurboTax, it gave me form 1040. Can I simply email it to my spouse to bring to interview? Or do I need to print and sign it and mail it?
  7. I filed my 2024 returns online and got a copy of 1040 from TurboTax. Do I need to print and sign it? My spouse will bring it to embassy interview. can I just email the pdf TurboTax gave me or do I need to sign it with pen? thanks.
  8. Yes I did it successfully long time ago. I am only us citizen for last 14 years. I am only worried about originals of my naturalization certificate and documents like car registration and drivers license. I uploaded them as evidence for some items and wondering if consulate will want to see originals of those.
  9. Yes I am naturalized us citizen but I am not dual citizen. I’m originally from Ukraine. My wife is Turkish citizen but she is originally from Ukraine. You calmed my mind, so I did NOT need to send originals of my naturalization certificate or car registration because they were uploaded to nvc right? I was confused because email from embassy said “you must bring all originals of documents uploaded to ceac to interview. “
  10. I am sorry if this question was answered but my wife has interview next week and I’m worried about this. I just saw someone on this forum ask about originals of nvc documents to show at embassy interview. It made me want to check what we submitted last year. I am naturalized Ukrainian citizen and live in Colorado. My wife is Ukrainian citizen and she currently lives in Turkey and her interview location is Turkey. (Ankara, capital) We uploaded these documents as supporting material to nvc: My Naturalization certificate, Copy of my US passport, Copy of my US drivers license, Copy of my US car registration I just noticed this from interview email: You submitted documentation to the National VisaCenter through the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC). You must present all original documents at the time of interview. Failure to present all necessary original documents to the Consular Officer may result in the refusal of your immigrant visa at the initial interview. Did I make a mistake by not mailing originals of my documents I listed above? (Car registration, drivers license, naturalization certificate and passport?) they say we must bring only originals but I didn’t mail these to my wife, everything else was digital like IRS tax returns. What should I do?
