As of right now in the portal it shows his visa as "rejected" which I assume would be due to the processing that will have to be done now that we have submitted the additional document. I uploaded the corrected 864 earlier today, any idea as to how long it will take for them to email us?

Hello, Lima, Peru Embassy - At my husbands scheduled appointment they let us know that we needed to re-fill out and submit the I-864 form due to an error we made when uploading originally. We uploaded the corrected version to the CEAC portal the same day, and now we are waiting to hear back on next steps. They kept his passport and let me know that they will keep it "until the process is finished". They gave us a 221-g form and sent us on our way. Since they did not give us his passport back, I would assume that this means his visa is approved, but my question is: what does the next step of this process look like? We just wait until we hear back? Is there a way to expedite the process or anything I can do to move this along quicker? Is there anyone that has had this or something similar happen that could provide insight into their experience?
