  1. According to EO refugee and asylee is different cases but all other asylee application is under process in EO as far as i read EO, i apricate your comments and suggestion. It looks like the National Visa Center (NVC) mistakenly categorized your I-730 petition under the Following-to-Join Refugee category instead of Following-to-Join Asylee (which applies to you). The executive order mentioned in the email affects refugees, not asylees, so your case should not be suspended under this order. Steps to Take: Contact NVC Immediately Call NVC Eastern Time). Explain that you were granted asylum by USCIS and that your family’s I-730 petition should be processed under the “Following-to-Join Asylee” category, not Refugee. Ask them to correct the case classification and confirm your case is still processing.
  2. almost waiting maybe one years
  3. Dear Member, I am an asylee, and I submitted a petition for my family. USCIS approved it and forwarded the case to the NVC for visa processing. When I submitted an online public inquiry to the NVC, they initially replied that my application was under review. However, two days later, they sent me the following email. I am confused because the executive order applies to refugees, not asylees. Can someone please explain what I should do in this situation? I am feeling very depressed. Thank you for your help. The National Visa Center received your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and assigned case number ISL2025523010. The Department of State has suspended the processing of your Following-to-Join Refugee case per the Executive Order (E.O.) “Realigning the United States Refugee Admissions Program.” The Department may contact you with next steps on your case at a future date. IMPORTANT: Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.
