  1. Yeh thanks a lot for the advice and clarifications. We had to do the i693 stuff here as I hadn’t anticipated staying and applying for his green card. He just had his medical early this week and titer test to check for vaccines. hopefully all goes smoothly.
  2. No not at all, it was a routine visit to the US, we come every year with our kids to spend Eid with our family. And we decided to adjust his status and stay.
  3. Hi all, my husband (UK citizen) and I (US citizen) have been compiling all the required forms to submit to USCIC, for his green card and aos, so far I have been following this: https://www.visajourney.com/guides/i130-spouse-inside-usa/ Which has helped me a lot, we will be filing concurrently (i-130 & i-485) I have a couple of questions as I see a lot of conflicting information online: is it correct that form I-485 no longer includes the cost of the I-131 and I-765 he doesn't need advanced parole i-131, however, he will need I-765; the cost online is now $520 and can be reduced to $260 if I file I-485, with a fee on or after April 1, 2024, and Form I-485 is still pending. (what does this mean?) Is it better to file i-130 and i-485 together, and then submit the i-765 at a later date so that I can make use of the reduced fee? Or will the reduced fee apply if I submit it with the i-485 when I file it all together? Final question, when submitting the whole packet, would 1 original Birth certificate for my husband suffice for both forms? or is it a must to include 1 per packet (i-130 and i-485) as at the moment I only have 1 copy 😕 I ask as I just want to make sure I am putting the correct amount on the cheque when submitting everything as I would rather not do anything to delay the process. Sorry if it seems jumbled up, I tried to make myself as clear as possible.
  4. Yeah; he’s tried that but his GP practice hasn’t allowed the sharing onto NHS app, it doesn’t even have his Covid vaccines. think the titer option may be the best one, thank you all for your kind responses
  5. Amazing thank you, Also is the red book enough as proof or will it have to be a titre test. As it shows what he’s had but I don’t know if it’s seen as legitimate here.
  6. Thank you all for your kind responses. I have submitted everything now! really appreciate the assistance.
  7. Hi all, hope this gets put in the correct forum if I misplaced it. I have a question regarding my medical form I-693. my husband is a uk citizen applying for his green card, he is currently in the US with me and after some discussions we’ve decided for him to stay and apply for AOS. im currently filling in the I-485 pack and going into the I-693. i have requested from his gp in the uk a vaccination record. But they are not seeming keen to get things quickly. I’m wondering as his esta expires mid April. And want to get everything submitted before then. With his medical records, am I able to book him in for a medical here to get his required vaccines done and still be able to get them in time to submit before mid April? we’re in a bit of a sticky situation and I’m trying to find the quickest and most efficient route to sort this I-693 paperwork and medical record stuff. any explanations or advice would be much appreciated.
  8. Hi all, This is my first time posting here so please be easy with me. I hope this is the right place to pose my questions. I'll try and be as brief as possible: - I am a US citizen, got married to my husband in the UK a few years back, and have been living there since with him, and we have visited the US multiple times. - We had 2 children in the UK but I never got them CRBA stuff because I didn't hear of it till now, and every time we visited the US we would get the 3 of them ESTA's and we've had no issues. - We are currently in the US, and had plans to go back to the UK, but my husband lost his job while in the US. So I applied for a few jobs to cover costs, turns out I've missed working after being a stay-at-home mum, which is quite nice, the children have loved being with their family and cousins now that they are older so after a few tough talks, we've decided to stay in the US and apply for my husband's green card. I have read up quite extensively on this channel and found a lot of good information, basically applying for AOS and all the relevant forms (I-130 and I-485) and filing concurrently not worrying about 90-day rule (as it is not applicable to us) and applying in the next few weeks. (I hope this is the right method) - with my new salary, he would be ok to be out of work for the 6-8 months until his right-to-work stuff comes through. - I'm bringing up my husband's status into this in case anyone has any help or advice for me as well. However, my main point of concern are my children. I need to get their US passports, does not having CRBA cause any issues? I am applying for their passports using the form and including their UK birth certificates and all the places that i have been to prove the 5 years. My appointment is on Monday at the Library. And while we are here, not being able to go back for a while (due to my husband's green card application and work) would: - I need some form of US-based (birth certificate) and how would I obtain such a thing here without paying for the N-600, or would a US passport suffice in future for things like SSN? - their passports being issued before the ESTA expires, be an issue, would they be out of status and if so would there be anything I should do to notify authorities so I'm not chased by ICE (so to speak) Thanks again, any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!
