  1. This morning the CEAC website now says my MIL's visa was Issued! Maybe it was just a computer issue at the consulate yesterday.
  2. My mother-in-law finally had her IR-5 visa interview today in Naples, Italy. It seemed to go well with no strange questions. My MIL received a sheet that states "It is not possible to issue an immigrant visa, as you have been found ineligible under the sections checked below of the INA as amended Sections 221(g)" with the administrative processing box checked. There are not additional information boxes checked. My wife heard from others exiting the consulate that there was some sort of computer problem at the consulate. They kept her passport and she did not receive an envelope with documentation for entry into they US. Supposedly they told her that both would be DHLed within the next week. However, it is very confusing that the sheet she received says "ineligible" and when I log into CEAC it says "Refused A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing." My MIL is 81, does not hear the best and my wife could not accompany her into interview so maybe she missed something. Maybe it is as simple as a general computer problem - just wondering if anyone else has run into something similar? If you are approved on the day of the interview, do they normally give you an envelope that day and DHL the passport within the next week?
