I was, funny thing is I completed my whole immigration journey under him. From green card to naturalization. Idk maybe social media made it seem worse. -

So then what? Being detained is one thing, but are they free to go once they determine their actual status?

I am seeing a lot of content on immigration laws/raids/ on the socials some of it seems legit other ones feel exaggerated but I can’t tell. I’m a citizen but I get uneasy sometimes because of my skin color. And it seems like when these raids happen if you look like one you get stopped? Does anyone else get the same feeling or am I just going over the top here? How does one even defend themselves or prove their citizenship if stopped? it’s not like I walk around with my certificate. -
What I don’t understand is with ICE raids, why US Citizens get caught in the mix. I’m assuming if we look like we fit the profile we get detained?
