  1. India. I'm in Toronto. That 48 days C1/D showing in Vancouver is my only hope now. Problem is that most training for pilots are done in the US and to travel for the training it's B1/B2 that's required. To apply for C1/D, an employer's letter that says we have to fly into US is required. There are many employers who don't really fly into US but send pilots into US just for training. So in a case like that, is it possible to travel to a third country for an interview? Why I mentioned Bahamas is that Canadian PRs have visa-free entry
  2. Yea, that's on me 🫠
  3. Has anyone successfully applied for B1/B2 or C1/D from a country outside Canada like maybe the Bahamas? I have a PR in Canada and not having a US visa is severely restricting my options to get a job as a pilot, and the interview wait times in Canada aren't helping. For background info, I was in living in a country where wait times were much lower, and I knew I would run into this issue once I moved to Canada. So I tried to apply for the visas there before moving here. The officer rejected the application at the time saying that I would have to apply here in Canada after settling here and with a company letter when I get hired. This is perfectly reasonable but now I'm in Canada and struggling to find a job because how can I get any company to wait for me for 700+ days to get a visa to travel to US for training? What are my possible options? Any suggestions?
