  1. As I wrote earlier, I came to the United States on a J1 visa, got married the day before its expiration, and then technically overstayed (I'm still in the US). So, now I'm in the process of filling out documents to Adjust the Status. I would be really happy with help of questions about filling out the form I-485 : Part 2, page 7, item 4: If you selected a family based,.........., are you applying for adjustment based on INA section 245 (i)? Yes or No? Part 9, page 14, item 13: Have you EVER violated the terms or conditions of your nonimmigrant status? Yes or No? Part 9, page 21, item 76: Since April 1, 1997, have you been unlawfully present in the United States......? Yes or No Part 9, page 19, 57-60: Should I include our sponsor (spouse's parent) in all these items? Or I should count only both of us?
  2. Not yet. I want to send all documents together (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-864) Or maybe then makes sense to send all of them except of I-765 first, and then say in the field of status "Adjustment of Status"? Or it's not correct?
  3. I got married 1 day before my visa was expired, that's why I'm so confused about the question.. So technically my visa was expired in October 15th I was not a subject to 212 (e)
  4. Hi! I would be really happy to get some help. I'm filling the I-765 form out and they ask what visa or category I have currently. But my visa was expired, so I overstayed in the US because I got married. The question is what should I answer? No Status?
