BTW, my case is also an American citizen petitioning for his son, a minor. It was approved for expediting on that basis -- we had a letter from a doctor saying he is suffering mentally from not being with his parents. you may want to submit an expedite request too.

The interview wait times these days around 10-12 months unfortunately. I have a client who was approved for expedited approval a month ago and has still not received their interview letter. The embassy says NVC needs to schedule it; NVC says the embassy needs to schedule it. So frustrating.
