Oh I thought that means their interview would be in Spring 2026... not hearing then! wow should have done it from within the States lol would have been done so much faster. Whats the wait time after interview is done usually? Home has been Canada for 30 years so I figured the process should be not as lengthy as opposed to living elsewhere.

Got DQ'd Sept 3rd... Still waiting for an interview notice. Consulate is Montreal... Anyone in the same boat? Usually they schedule pretty late? Supposedly they are scheduling May now.

Iran. My previous lawyer help me sort it! Now just waiting for interview and figuring out next steps... Anyone have a checklist of items to take to interview besides Appointment Letter Passport Two U.S.-style Passport Photo Medical Exam Result DS-260 Confirmation Pag Birth Certificate Marriage Certificate Police Certificate Court and Prison Records (if applicable). Military Records (if applicable). Adoption Papers (if applicable). Petitioner’s Documents (your U.S. citizen child): Financial Support Documents (Form I-864, Affidavit of Support) Original, signed I-864 from your petitioner. Petitioner’s IRS tax transcript (or most recent federal tax return, W-2s, 1099s). Proof of income/employment (pay stubs, employment letter). If using assets or joint sponsor, bring their documents as well. NVC Document Cover Sheet & Civil Documents

TO PAY FEES USE AN INCOGNITO WINDOW !!! Thats how my payment finally went through with an instantaneous confirmation window! I tried clearing history, unblocking popup, using safari instead of chrome etc. INCOGNITO is the way to ! I see it already out of my bank account less than 24 hours! Good luck!

Yes I saw that but I dont even get a confirmation page !! it just keep thinking and then tiny window disappears. My bank account doesnt show anything being withdrawn. I even tried paying the DS-260 fee. Same same.

I am trying to pay the petitioner portion of the fee to the NVC and i have tried 3 times and never get a confirmation when its processing. Then the next day shows PAY NOW again... Did anyone has issues with their site glitching all the time?

yes kinda confused why that got approved faster than the parents'. Yes a 3 year old so I guess the deduct the years 1-130 took at the end? Okay thank you for the tip!! I just didnt think I have energy to do this part, perhaps I'll do some research and shed my fear.

Finally got the I130 approval for parents (filed October 6 and 10, 2023!!!) and sibling (filed December 13, 2023). Is the NVC process consular filling pretty easy to do on my own? or hiring a paralegal/lawyer now is helpful? Thanks!!!

Yes with this administration anything goes maybe DOGE fired too many people at USCIS I even got this on a sibling I130 application. Any idea how I can find out what the wait is at the Canadian consulate in Montreal for parents' visa? Thanks!

Got email notices on my USCIS account and this is the update I got.. Is this typical? Whats the point of this when they have taken 20+ months already and nothing has moved.... As of June 23, 2025, we are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number IOE91xxxxxxxxxx. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

@appleblossom oh I sent everything electronically so copies via the online portal ! Yes I have been checking daily... so weird that my sibling shows a few weeks remaining for processing (which I know those timelines are not accurate) yet the parents that were sent in earlier show a 14 month time to process still !
