Hi everyone,
I'm on an F-1 visa for a graduate program and I am currently married to a US citizen. The university has an international business trip coming up that I'd really like to participate in. I've read on visajourney about how once you marry a US citizen, you are showing intent to immigrate which can complicate your AOS down the line as well as put risk on your re-entry. I've spoken to an attorney and they told me that AOS will not be affected since your intent is to study and it's very likely they won't ask questions at entry since you haven't filed anything showing intent. I'm torn because this is completely conflicting information. I would like to go on this trip but obviously not at the cost of my future!
