  1. Sponsor's income exceeds the poverty guideline limit for 2023, but not 2021 or 2022. Can provide 12 months of paystubs for 2024 showing more than sufficient income. Will the 2021 and 2022 income insufficiency possibly be a problem? Sponsor also has assets (chequing/savings account) with > 5x the 125% limit. Should Part 7, "Use of Assets to Supplement Income (If Applicable)" be filled out with the assets just in case the USCIS officer has a problem with the 2021 and 2022 years? I am asking because some sources write "only include assets if necessary". The form also states: "If your income, or the total income for you and your household, from Part 6., Item Number 12. or 16. exceeds the Federal Poverty Guidelines for your household size, YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED to complete this Part 7. Skip to Part 8." The 16.b. and 16.c in our case does not meet the guidelines. Is it correct to assume that assets should be disclosed in Part 7 to make up for 16.b. and 16.c? Any input here greatly appreciated.
  2. I'm in a similar spot. So for the question on the I-864: "15. Have you filed a federal income tax return for each of the three most recent tax years?", does one check the "No" box even though it is not practically possible to file the 2024 federal taxes yet in January (due to W2s, 1099s not coming out yet)?
