    Hello everyone, I’ve lived overseas almost my whole life and I gave birth last year. CRBA did not work out so I had to file an I-130 for my son. I’m not married and I only petitioned for him. I have been unemployed the last 3 years and I haven’t filed taxes but I do have assets (not investments only cash). Will this be a problem during the NVC stage? Do I have to have money or investments in the US or will cash be sufficient? I also don’t have US domicile but I think a solid plan to immigrate also works. (I already got 2 joint sponsors but I still wanted to ask just in case they had a change of heart.) I’ll greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

    it’s a standalone I-130 and yes I’ve been checking my account but everything looks the same, nothing on documents or myprogress tab

    can someone please explain what this e-mail means? some say they receive a bunch before getting approved, some say it’s a glitch… how can we know for sure?

    I know I know… of course I won’t do fraud I was just trying to make sure if I understood it right, I thought maybe there was another way I didn’t know about but apparently not. thank you everyone

    he is outside US. only visa I can get for him is a tourist visa and when you try to adjust status with a tourist visa, it’s considered fraud. the waiting time for I-130 is also crazy so I’m not sure what to do here

    hello everyone, this might be a simple question but I got really confused. so in order to apply for I-485, the applicant needs a visa. if I apply for my baby while he has a B2 visa, is it still considered to be immigration fraud? is there any type of visa available for the minor children of US citizens? I can't get a CRBA because of physical presence requirement, I have e-mailed FOIA multiple times and they are not replying so I need a backup plan such as I-130 and I-485. thank you

    thank you @SalishSea how long does that usually take? I’ve read online that for some people it’s 2 weeks and some waited for months… it’s really stressing me out

    hello. can anyone tell me if crba pending adjudication status is a bad thing or not? I was asked to submit additional documents, I did it and the status hasn't changed. I have no idea how this works so I am really obsessing about it.
