  1. @boiler in the 2nd part when you're saying "it has happened", are you referring to k1 denial or tourist visa approval?
  2. Hi - I have a fiance from India for whom I've filed a i129f petition for back in October 2024. She would like to visit me in the US and it would be her first time visiting the US. She doesn't currently hold a tourist visa so she would have to apply for one. By applying for a tourist visa, would it in any way hurt our chances of getting our fiance visa approved? And how likely is it for her to get the tourist visa approved? The tourist visa would be merely for meeting me and tourism related reasons, and we will not get married here.
  3. Hi, I have a pending K1 visa and wanted to visit my fiance while USCIS processes his petition. When I got to the end of the tourist visa application however, I wasn't presented with any options to select a visa appointment, and instead the submit page stated "It looks like you're trying to approve for a K1 visa...". Anyone know how I can proceed with an appointment selection?
  4. @thakattack159 Will USCIS send a notification by email or text that NOA2 was sent or is it only email? I never got a text/email for NOA1 but I got it when the agency received my application.
  5. The USCIS received my petition on October 11 and as of December 7th (today), the status on the USCIS website is still "Case Was Received" -- this is the same as what it was on October 11th. I've heard others say the application should be transferred to a processing center within a few weeks to a month from the Dallas lockbox. I live in CA so mine should be sent to the CA processing center - how do I know if it was transferred over yet or not? Anyone else submit their application around the same time as me? If so, mind sharing what your application status is?
