Currently going through the k1 visa process to move to the US from Canada. Had the interview in Montreal and all went well. But when they seen I had an assault with a weapon charge which was withdrawn from 15 years ago (I was 18).. they asked for court/police documents. I went to the court house where they could not locate any files so they wrote a certified/Stamped letter stating so and stating the charge was withdrawn with no conviction. will that be a sufficient enough document to proceed to approval?
Went to the police station as well and they said they cant be sure they can find them also. But would take 30 days to hear back…
