  1. Hi everyone! I'm filing Adjustment of Status soon and last thing I need done is translating my birth certificate. I came across a post from some time ago saying that you can actually do your own translation and attach a statement certifying that you're fluent in both languages and that the translation is accurate, sign and date and that's it. Is this still the case? The documents I'm translating are super easy and took me 10 mins to finish but I'm just wondering if this is actually allowed or is it going to be flagged as conflict of interest, or is there any other formatting requirements I'm missing? Thanks in advance for your time to help!
  2. Oh okay thank you very much for the help! Alright thank you very much for the help!
  3. Hi everyone, My husband and I are filling out the affidavit of support application and we have a confusion. In part 6, items 23 to 24c, we're asked about his tax returns and total income. As it says in that section, we're only required to provide the most recent year's tax return, which is what we're doing. But then below that it asks to put in total income from all three past years' total income one by one. Question is, since we're including only the most recent year's tax return, do we also fill in just one box for total income, or do we need to fill in all three years' total income each even if we don't provide the tax returns for the other two years? Thank you anyone who takes the time to help!
  4. I solved it! I was using a mac and it didn’t have adobe reader. I installed adobe and redownloded the form and it all worked.
  5. Hi everyone, Filling out the affidavit of support form right now but the household size section (part 5, item 1) doesn't let me type in the number of persons being sponsored. And therefore the total household size is stuck at 1, can't change that either. I tried other PDF readers and it still won't work properly. Any advice?
  6. Hi everyone, My husband and I are preparing the AOS application and we have a question about providing financial evidence with the affidavit of support. We have a letter from his employer stating his hourly and annual salary and all the details. His salary is much more than the 125% of the poverty line so we’re good there. However, he has been working in this job only for a few months and his tax return from 2023 shows much less money. Our question is, should we still include his tax return from 2023 and before even though it’s below the required financial level? Would the letter from his employer showing his current income be enough? Do we need to include any other evidence of income? All help is appreciated!
