  1. Hello, when I first scheduled the biometrics and interview they were available immediately after the completion of the ustraveldocs application. I did not have to do anything else. However I had to cancel the interview, but everything else is done. I now have to schedule a new interview. Does anyone have any tips of when the best time to log in for open slots? I think the old website only allowed 3 logins per day? Does anyone know if my logins are limited on the new site? I have been told that the embassy just randomly opens new slots? Is there a certain of the week or time of day that is better to be checking? Has anyone have experience scheduling the interview on the website after cancelling? Or any experience at all for that matter? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you. JDK
  2. Honestly I would hire an attorney. I can refer you to mine if you want one he was affordable and helpful.
  3. Update: After speaking with my attorney and browsing Reddit which seems to have good information regarding the new ustraveldocs website. Since cancelling the interview when I was logging into the ustraveldocs website there was no option to "schedule/reschedule" an appointment. This option was available prior to my cancellation because I was trying to reschedule the interview leading up to the date after my fiancée's passport was stolen, which has since been recovered. So after researching a little I clicked "start new application", this action closed out the old application and started a new form to schedule a new appointment. All the information was prefilled in from the last application except the MNL case number and DS160 confirmation number. I had to re-enter that information. Once I continued it goes to the Visa Fee payment screen, which I had already paid. Once I selected "credit card" the next screen showed that my payment had already been made and I owed no money. So basically the payment fee reciept # was attached either to the MNL # or the DS160 confirmation #. So I did not have to pay the fee again. Hope this helps someone in the future. After finishing all of this I now have the "schedule/reschedule" button and can click it. But l am getting the "no slots available". I am going to start a new thread and hopefully someone can help me increase my chances of logging in at the right time to get an open slot. Only thing left is the interview. Thank you to all that have helped. JDK
  4. There is also an Amtrak train directly from Detroit to the center of Downtown Cleveland that is affordable and fast. I know people who use this because by the time you get to the Detroit airport and make such a short flight the train has already arrived in Cleveland.
  5. Hello I am from Cleveland too. I have been back and forth to Manila a few times. My fiancée will be a Clevelander soon! Every time I went through customs is was in LA and I believe once in Chicago. Not sure if that relates to POE. The shortest flight possible is Cleveland-LA-Manila, but those flights got taken quickly and sometimes were very expensive. Other times they were not expensive but the direct LA - Manila is a very sought after flight since it is direct. I believe there are also some direct flights from LA to either Cebu or Davao but I do not remember. Most of my flights were this: Cleveland-Chicago-Tokyo-Manila & Cleveland-LA-Taiwan-Manila Hope this helps JDK
  6. Due to a recent problem I had to cancel my Fiancees interview. But a good samaritan saved us. This is detailed in my previous post “passport stolen”. Everything is completed, medical exam, biometrics everything. The only thing left is the interview. When I log into usvisascheduling.com I do not see an option to schedule the interview. Prior to me cancelling there was an option to “reschedule”, I waited as long as I could trying to reschedule but eventually had to cancel. I have tried to call VAC and no one answered, says they are closed but their hours are 8-5? I have tried to web chat with them but it's the same thing. How do I schedule just a new interview on usvisascheduling.com? I have read online (reddit etc.) that I should close my current application and start a new application? Has anyone ever had to schedule a new interview after cancelling? Any help would be MUCH appreciated. JDK
  7. Yes sometimes I have to keep trying to log in before it works. It will say "login failed". Just do it again and you will get in.
  8. Thanks for the info guys. Sorry for the delay this has been hectic. It is kind of unbelievable what has happened. The thieves must have discarded her passport onto the street when they stole her purse. A woman found her passport and contacted my fiancée on social media. She sent the passport back to my fiancée and she received it yesterday. It feels like a miracle. I will post what I have learned through my attorney and research during this week to help anyone else who may have had the same problem. So if passport is stolen or lost: A new passport must be obtained which requires an appointment. You can find appointments online at the Ph website (sorry I do not have the URL). Some locations for a new passport appointments are booked solid for months, others have openings right away. Cebu and ILolo city seemed to have the most openings. The Cebu location was a "satellite" location and was at the top of the list and NOT in alphabetical order under "C". Since the passport would be new, I believe a new DS160 must be filed since the passport numbers will not match. This probably also means the visa fee would have to be paid again. I was worried the Medical Exam would expire but I have been told it does not expire but in the past it did. I can not find out if the VAC biometric expires but I do not believe so. Thanks for your help and I am so relieved. Since I had to cancel the interview and everything else is done I am going to make a new post for help with that because I am not sure how to do it. JDK
  9. As you can tell by the title of this post I have quite a problem. I really do not know where to begin, I feel very dejected right now. It has been such a difficult and long process I am on the verge of losing my mind. If anyone at all can please offer some guidance, advice, tips, or similar experiences I would REALLY appreciate it. We have been together for two years and tomorrow was supposed to finally be the day we would be done with this process. I lived in the Philippines for around 4 months out of the past 16 months. I am currently in the US. Cleveland, Ohio. My Fiancée's interview was scheduled for tomorrow. Yesterday afternoon two men on a motorcycle swiped her purse from her shoulder while she was in Manila. Her passport was in her purse. If anyone has been to Manila you know you need ID to enter hotels, condos, etc. I am trying not to play what if’s and think about what I or she could have done differently so if we could please limit the discussion to how to proceed going forwards and constructive possible solutions my sanity would appreciate it very much. Here is a summary of the current status and situation. I have had an attorney since the beginning. He will be calling me in the next few hours. What I have noticed about immigration attorneys is that they are front end people. Once everything is accepted they are not as familiar with embassy processes, computer systems, etc. That’s why this forum is so valuable, The last time I saw her in person was February of 2024 Her Biometric VAC appointment was completed 12/10/2024 Her medical exam Day one was completed 1/2/2025, the second day was completed 1/5/2025. The results were sent to the embassy. Her interview was scheduled 1/7/2025. I cancelled the interview appointment this morning 1/6/2025 after our texts around 3 am after finding out about the passport theft. I tried to reschedule but no slots were available. I also messaged the Embassy through the communication system to let them know her passport had been stolen and I had to cancel the appointment. I did not want a “no show” on our record. I also realize that this is a quick turnaround from medical exam to visa interview but I was not concerned as I believe the results are uploaded digitally now and available very quickly at the embassy. Also everything else was in place and if medical results were not available I expected a 221G form with approval pending results being received. She went to the police department to report the crime, she is going to get a copy of the police report. In the morning to the government building to report her passport stolen and request a new passport 1/7/2025. Since the Passport is stolen it will be a replaced passport not a reissued passport. This means that the passport # will be different from everything used so far. She resides in General Santos City (Gensan), her flight back home leaves 1/8/25. J.M. has been helping me over the past few weeks and has been amazing and I really appreciate his help. I have informed him of the situation and this thread post. I have also reached out to my personal attorney. I also have some contacts that could possibly help me directly with the embassy but that is a roll of the dice and is a work in progress. Thank you everyone who can offer any help or guidance. I have not been on this forum long but I wish I would have found it a year ago instead of a few months ago. This place is an amazing resource. If anyone would like to reach out I am willing to give my personal phone number as I feel like I am in an emergency situation. I will try my best to check, reply and update this post as frequently as possible. I have been up since 3 am making phone calls and sending emails but I should know more soon. Thank you for your time and God Bless. JDK
  10. Hello I'm new here. My K1 visa has been approved, 129f done and I completed the DS-160 and paid. Up until now the lawyer has handled everything and he told me to just wait for the email with instructions to schedule her interview and medical. I've been reading the forum and I am seeing that you don't have to wait for the email from the embassy to schedule the interview and medical? Can someone tell me how to do this? Where do I go to schedule the interview and medical without receiving the email yet from the embassy in Manila? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks 🙏 J
