  1. Not estimated tax vouchers. I messed up a few years of my taxes and because the IRS was very behind I didn't find out about it until 2023. I ended up owing money and got put on payment plans to pay the back taxes.
  2. I submitted the I-129F for my fiancé, we received NOA1 on 12/19/2024 so I'm assuming it will be some time before we get NOA2 and even longer to schedule an interview so I'm hoping I have ample time to get my questions answered and the I-134 to my fiancé in time. My circumstances are not very straight forward. I am currently unemployed but looking for a job, even minimum wage in my state exceeds the poverty guidelines so I'm not super worried about my income. Here are my circumstances. 1. I am on tax payment installment plans for both the IRS and NYS and have not been delinquent on payments. 2. I own 4 properties including my primary residence 3. Own an IIRA that I've been taking distributions from I have an interview tomorrow (3/11/2025) for a job and have submitted dozens of other applications, my question is this. When I mail the I-134 to my fiancée, what evidence do I need to submit to show proof of value and ownership of my assets? Should I try to find someone else willing to cosponsor? Do I need to include information about my payment installment agreements with the IRS and NYS? Should I contact an attorney for professional advice? Thanks in advance.
  3. Because the first tutorial I watched said to use her name as it appears on my birth certificate. Hence the whole birth certificate confusion. I know that government agencies aren't always the most specific and bureaucracy is messy. A USCIS agent even told me said "I would use what's it says on your new birth certificate". I'm trying to avoid as many delays as possible once I send in this application.
  4. I am the petitioner (male), are you sure it's a good idea to put something different than what appears on my birth certificate? Allow me to be clear. I will use fake names. My mother's name on the original birth certificate was "A" (her married name when she had me) My mother's name on the new birth certificate is "B" (her maiden name) My mother's current name is "C" So you are suggesting i put my mother's name as "C" and submit my birth certificate that says her name is "B"? I contacted the USCIS after making this post and they suggested I use what is on the new birth certificate. But said so as "I would put what's on the certificate you got from city hall".
  5. I cannot locate my original birth certificate so i went down to the records office of my county and i got some copies of my birth certificate. My issue is that my mothers last name on the new one is her maiden name and on the original, i know for sure that it was her married name at the time. Is it going to matter that my new certified birth certificate and the original do not match? For Part 1: 32a where it wants my mothers family name (last name) do i put her maiden name or her married name as it appears on the original birth certificate that i do not have a copy of? thanks in advance.
  6. It doesn't explicitly state that but I see many people in DIY including call logs as proof of ongoing relationship after meeting.
  7. As many of you may know, facebook removed the ability to view your call history and unfortunately for the entire length of our relationship we have been using facebook messenger to communicate via video calls. It never occurred to us that we may need to one day have access to our call logs. I tried to download the messages and view them that way but for some reason our conversation only spans 3 days when we first started communicating on messenger from may 12th to may 15th. I am starting to panic as we don't really have a way to provide our video call history? Any advice?
  8. Wow thank you, I will do that first thing Monday. Boy am I happy I was told about this website. Clear and concise answers. I am eternally grateful 🙏 thank you.
  9. As the title suggests, I am on the part where I need to fill out my criminal history which I have no problem doing since my crime will not result in a denial from the USCIS. Problem is, I do not remember the dates of my arrest or my court proceedings. I am trying to track down my records but so far all avenues I've tried have come up empty. In the event that my arrest and court records have been sealed or expunged, I am at a loss as to how I can go about retrieving these records to provide as evidence when I submit the form. I found a thread on here with a similar situation bit I did not see anyone quite answer the question I have unless I missed it. Thanks in advance for the help!
  10. Wow that is super informative, thank you so much for your help, I can't begin to express how grateful I am to finally receive such a rock solid answer and the reasoning behind it. She has had things delivered to her including mail from me. I spoke to someone else who went through the process that is also from Pasig, she said that for province they put metro manila. Everything I've mailed to her and flowers I've had delivered to her were successful using metro manila as the province when province was asked for. Again it was so nice to receive this reply, thank you!
  11. Thank you for moving me to the correct forum
  12. My fiancé and I are doing DIY and we cannot figure our how we should format the address portions under beneficiary information. Her home address and her employers addresses do not follow the same format. For example, she lives in santolan, pasig city, metro manila. What lines do her barangay, district and city go under since metro manila is not a province?
