  1. You're clarifying that a beneficiary could still be turned away at the port of entry, even with a valid K-1, right? (assuming so, that's a brutal but important reminder)
  2. Jeez, that really rough. I'm so sorry to hear that. We've been hearing the same from other people. Are you going to move forward with a marriage based visa instead? I think it's based on what Crazy Cat mentioned earlier: "Consular officers shall reduce the validity for any other nonimmigrant visa issued to nationals of Venezuela to the extent permitted by law." We're expecting NOA2 sometime late June/early July. We're going to keep an eye on things and see if it continues like that. Assuming it does, we'll explore other visas and other countries.
  3. Got it. Duly noted/understood; that makes sense. Thank you for the feedback.
  4. Just to be clear: are we talking about the countries with a partial ban or complete ban? My beneficiary is from a partial ban country (Venezuela). My understanding of the order was that since the K-1 is technically a non-immigrant visa, and it's not in the list of banned non-immigrant visas, we're okay as it currently stands. Am I misunderstanding it maybe?
  5. I submitted my I-129F a couple weeks ago. I received the NOA1 text on 11/21, still waiting on the mailed I-797C receipt. On Friday, I realized I needed to make a correction to my application. I misunderstood/misread the question about past citations; I should have answered yes instead of no (I had a non-criminal disorderly when I was a kid). I called USCIS and talked to an agent. She said to submit the following: - a copy of my I-797C receipt - a letter detailing what exactly I want changed (including question no./page no./etc.) - the court documents/etc. that I should have submitted with my original application She said I shouldn't submit any revised versions of the I-129F, only the letter detailing the changes needed. Does anyone else have any experience with this? I've heard of the USCIS call center giving incorrect advice in the past. Since I'm waiting on my I-797C anyway, I wanted to see if anyone has any thoughts.
