  1. Ah I didn’t think of that. I was planning on traveling 5 weeks after filing. Didn’t think I would have an appointment letter coming that quick
  2. Okay thank you. I wasn’t sure because what if the receipt comes while I’m abroad even though like you said my card doesn’t expire till 23:59 on expiry date.
  3. Hello, I was wondering am I still allowed to travel after I file my I-751 but have not received the notice of action extending 48 months yet as my departure date very likely could be before I received the receipt. Would this cause any issue? Planning on traveling for three weeks in March but my CR1 card does not expire until May 15th.
  4. Hey everyone, one last question is an affidavit of support letter necessary? I have all of the evidence mentioned above and about 70 photos of interacting with each other’s families, vacations, birthdays, and anniversaries, random things.
  5. I’m reading something about a quit claim deed, if I’m able to add my wife’s name 3 months before filing is that worth it or would that look weird. Idk I’m just being overly paranoid like I mentioned the house was bought before she moved to the US.
  6. I really hope this is a good amount, this is everything we have!
  7. Okay! We can write a cover letter explaining why the main reason why because we wanted to start using a joint account once she had income that’s all! In the same letter, I can explain the car financing as well. Should I also include that she transferred Extra money that month to the account to cover for mortgage that way that month I focused on a higher down payment for the car
  8. Hello, My wife and I are applying for removal of conditions on her 2 year green card. We were going to submit the following. Is this good evidence? She came in May 2023 and we will be submitting in Feb. Bank statements since Aug 23 because this is when she got her first job in the US. This also shows mortgage payments going out every month from transfers from our individual accounts. Drivers Licenses with same address Home owner insurance with both names Car insurance with both names Shared Health insurance dental vision (some are from my employer, some from her employer) Utility bills with both names Joint credit card with both names Joint Tax returns Beneficiary documents from both of us where we have listed each other as beneficiaries on retirement accounts Pictures of anniversaries, bdays, family visits to in-laws, her family at our house in NJ, My family at her house in her country, Christmas pics with extended family etc. was thinking of sharing like 10-15 pics of basically us doing things with each other’s families and celebrating events like anniversaries, bdays, vacations Flights together/Trips (will also have pics from some of these) The house I had already purchased before she moved to the United States and the only way I can add her is to refinance. Same thing with the car loan, we used my credit as her credit was too new when we bought the car in December 2023 however she transferred extra money that month to our joint account to help cover the mortgage so we can have a bigger down payment on the car. Only way to add her to the loan would be to refinance.
  9. I am in the same situation as my spouse is not on the deed or mortgage as I bought the house before she came to the US. Ever since she started working in the US, we have been paying for the mortgage together from our joint bank account. There is a monthly payment that goes out from our joint account in which we both contribute. Is that okay? I was looking into doing quit claim deed but not sure if that’s necessary. We are filing in two months.
  10. Yes I can switch it, I was just told her some people they might question as to why it was done so much after getting married and all that. We have not had a smooth process whatsoever lol.
  11. Yea her name is in the electric/gas already but I’ve been paying for that from my individual account not joint. Water unfortunately only lets me have one name. As for cell phone she’s actually on my family plan with myself, my parents and my sister, I guess this is a good one to include!
  12. Yes it can be switched but we’re filing in 2 months and the bills have been paid from my account the entire marriage. We just decided to pay the mortgage together after she got a job since that was the biggest cost. The gas/electric bill does show both names since the beginning of the marriage YES. We have two tax returns filed jointly as well, car insurance since she was approved and moved to US, health insurance through my employer since we’ve been married, she is also the beneficiary on my life insurance and retirement accounts. The only thing her name does not appear on is the actual mortgage bill because I bought the house before she was approved to move here and the only way to add her to that is to refinance which cannot happen right now. Also, why she is not on the deed because she was not physically here when the house was bought. The real estate attorney did inform me that in NJ the spouse has half ownership, regardless of her name being on it or not. Same thing with our car we bought a car last year with my name because she did not have an established credit in the US so we used my credit
  13. Hi, I am also in the same boat where my license says a different city than my spouses but the same street address and ZIP Code. Even so our bills have different city name, but same address this was not an issue?
  14. Hi everyone, I purchased my home before my wife got her her conditional green card and now that she’s here we’ve been paying the mortgage together from our joint bank account. Will the bank statement showing the monthly payment to the loan be proof we are paying mortgage together? She’s not on the actual loan because that would require refinancing. The bank statement says “ELECTRONIC PMT-WEB, FLAGSTAR BANK NA LOAN PYMT” and then the amount. Is this good proof? We also have utility bills with both of our names on them but those are paid from my individual account only.
  15. Ahh okay you had the same issue. I guess I’m just worried about nothing then. When I submit my evidence like joint bank statements, joint taxes, utilities should I bother explaining to them it’s the same address or is that too much
