I understand, I'm one of those people. The thing is, I worry about how much people can find out about me through my online data. A lot of discrimination or much worse consequences can arise because someone doesn't like you or what you have to say. I just like to keep my life private. If there was a place where I know my data cannot be sold or accessed then absolutely. But reddit does sell data, at the very least for ad purposes.

I have been trying to delete my account for a week now and I have faced several issues: 1. Switching google accounts does not switch the authentication. I switched from G1 to G2 email but whenever it wants to verify my account it still requires me to sign-in in the prompt of G1 2. Every time I tried to delete my account it sends me an email for confirmation, I click it and I get this black drop down notification "Verification is successful", but the account deletion in red still shows "Please confirm your account deletion", and it doesn't go away. 3. All I want is to delete my posts, but it seems I cannot do that without deleting my account. If that's really the case, can someone from the admins help me delete and nuke my account?

I phoned Selective services, apparently I was just being silly. It was the i-485 that triggered my registration in selective services again, and it shows on their system that it was immigration. As for the DMV, I had a limited-term license up until I presented my greencard and requested for it to be removed based on it. So as far as I can tell, I have not been presented as a citizen in the selective service system or the DMV. So all is good. Thank you so much for grabbing my attention to this, I want to make sure that I'm following the legal process to the fullest extent. I have a small family that depends on me and I do not want to fail them.

No, I remember sending them my I-20 copy, and F-1 visa page copy, along with the registration document in the mail. I did not provide or have any documents that "faked" my immigration status. The way they registered me was after i got my Driver's license, I got this mail saying I was enrolled in Selective Service, so they did it on my behalf, I only provided documents to prove I shouldn't be enrolled in the first place, but for some reason it was still kept. You got me nervous. I will call tomorrow just to check on why I was registered even though I sent previously my non-immigration documents.

The verification service is at least back online, finally. I just checked, and I'm registered from way before I filed for i-485 and i-130, which is really weird it seems that they ignored my visa documents and registered me anyway. So now that I'm registered and have a selective service number and date of registration, that means am all safe for naturalization correct?

Thank you for responding. So, the website services are down, customer service line is also down, it's been like this for weeks. I don't know of any alternatives that I could use to check my record.

Hi everyone, I would like your help. My spouse and I recently received our I-797 approval notices for both the I-130 and I-485. We're now waiting for the conditional green card to be produced. However, I have a concern about one question on the I-485 form, and I'm hoping to confirm that my response won't affect future naturalization. On the I-485, there's a question asking: “Have you ever: Applied for exemption or discharge from training or service in the U.S. armed forces or in the U.S. National Security Training Corps on the ground that you are a foreign national?” “Have you ever been relieved or discharged from such training or service on the ground that you are a foreign national?” I answered NO to both. Here's the context: While on F-1 status in early 2024 ( I was 25), I received a letter sometime earlier this year saying I had been automatically enrolled in Selective Service. The letter instructed me to mail in my I-94, foreign passport, and F-1 visa copy if I was F1 status. I followed the instructions and sent those documents. I never heard anything back, so I assumed the matter was resolved. When we submitted the I-485 later that same year (late 2024 - still 25 yod), I was still maintaining my F-1 status and did not re-register for Selective Service. I have now received my green card (may 2025 - 26 years old and few months). I just want to confirm that: I answered that question correctly. This won’t affect my naturalization eligibility down the line. I haven’t unintentionally misrepresented anything. Thanks in advance to anyone who can clarify!

Our joint sponsor is going through some hard time and decided they won't be helping us any longer. They have recently provided us with the most recent w2 (2024) and tax transcript (2024) but refuses to send the most recent 3 paystubs. They are saying if it is not enough then we can find someone else as they don't have time to communicate much. 1. Can we replace them? 2. If yes, does the new joint sponsor need to fill out the most recent i864 form or is it the same form we used to file, and bring all the supporting document? 3. Do we upload, mail, or bring the new joint sponsor documents with us to the interview?

In the new I-485 form, part 1.14 "What is your current immigration status" Part 1.15 "Expiration date of current immigration status" As an F-1 student, should I put N/A or fill those the same as they show in I-94 and question part 1.12 In the new I-864: Part 5.3 to 5.7 We do not have dependents, children, etc... does that mean we "counted them" and we put 0? Or is it only in the case of having dependents and children and having them included in Item number 1?

Hi everyone, My wife and I are applying for family-based immigration (Wife - petitioner, Me Beneficiary). We don't have money to hire a lawyer and any help is appreciated! We have two questions regarding I-864 family-based immigration. I'm filing with my spouse (I-130 online). My spouse has been unemployed since June, and only made income from January to May. We do have a joint sponsor, but we are confused about the following: 1. Can I add myself in part 5.8 and 5.9 since I'm working a part-time job, this job will end with my post-grad degree and I cannot get a letter to prove that it will last for X period of time because it's an offer on a semester basis. --> If the answer is yes, Current income in 5.9 is the expected total income for this year Jan to Dec 2024? --> I have only been here for a year, should i provide recent pay stubs, w2 and tax return for last year? 2. My sponsor spouse doesn't make income anymore, and only made 20K from Jan to May, we selected 5.6 that my spouse is unemployed, but what should we write in 5.7? 0$ or the income made from Jan to May? --> Being unemployed, should my spouse still upload W-2s, return transcripts, and pay stubs for most recent payments?

Hi everyone, I'm filling out the i-485 doc, and I put my legal name as it shows on the passport and marriage document. My driver's license and I-94 show my name written in different order. E.g. on passport and marriage document: First: Jane Last: Doe Mid: Max Maxine On I- 94 First: Jane Max Maxine Last: Doe Middle: Was considered part of my first name for some reason and wasn't added as middle name On any US document and my VISA card they can't fit my full middle name so they wrote as much as they can fit removing one name First: Jane Last: Doe Middle: Max Should I write these variations of I-94 and VISA/US documents under OTHER NAMES YOU HAVE USED SINCE BIRTH part 1 item 2 to 3? Thank you

I have some questions about how my spouse and our joint sponsor filled their I-864, and I would like your help. Joint sponsor Our Joint sponsor works here in the US, and he includes his spouse's name in his tax return. She works in a different country and her income isn't included at all in his tax return, just her name. With that said, did what he do below correct? 1. Part 5 for my joint sponsor, we put "1" for his wife, and "0" for dependents because all of his children are no longer dependents and are off his taxes. 2. Part 5 income you are using from any other person, he did not write his spouse despite being on the tax return, mainly because her contribution is 0, and it shows on his W2 form. 3. He only supplied last year's taxes, W2s, and 6 most recent pay stubs for this year. It shows that he is more than above poverty line, but should we count total household size including his children, even if they're are not dependable? 4. He calculated his year to day income based on his consistent pay stub this year and wrote it in part 5.7 For my Spouse 1. Part 5: Spouse doesn't work anymore, but she listed her year-to-date annual income according to how much she made this year (total of 4 months), would that be okay? 2. Part 5: I'm the beneficiary, spouse listed my name and YTD income at part 5 Person 1 (Current income = YTD, not annually). Spouse ticked part 6.22 3. Spouse right now isn't working and she is a student, is there a place in the form where she has to declare that isn't making any income anymore for the rest of the year, or that she is a student now? Are we on the right track?

Hi everyone, Sorry for the silly question but I've heard that there are a lot of cases that were rejected just because they did not put NA. I'm filling the adjustment of status along with I-130A. For empty text boxes, should I populate them with N/A or just leave them empty. example: Part 3 of I-130A. Information About Your Employment Outside the United States. For me it is already included above, should I just write "Included above". For history of residency: Areas where I live right now doesn't have postal code, but a zip code, and vice versa in the past, should I just write N/A?

Hi everyone, We are filing for i-130 and we don't know what is the right approach for filing in regards to our situation. Situation: the beneficiary (me) will have the medical exam on the 15th of December, and I want to file i-485 after I receive my medical envelope to avoid delays from RFE. We will also move to our own assigned apartment (we already have it assigned) on the 15th. Right now we are living in a shared house, and we have a floor for ourselves in that house but the lease is written as a (full house lease with all resident) it doesn't necessarily show who occupies which floor. Suggestions for i-130 filing: 1. Should we wait till the 15th till we have our new contract which shows that only us are occupying the place for (Bonafede document), and to avoid changing the address between now and the 15th incase we file now? 2. Should we just file now and specify in the rental contract that we rent a separate floor for ourselves, and put the current address then change it in 15 days (How do we even do that?)? 3.Should we file now and specify that we rent a separate floor for ourselves, and put our future address for mailing to avoid changing it in 15 days? What are your thoughts?
