    We picked up our passports today from the courier office. It took 5 working days for it to be ready. @monk_yatso and @Aaron_ have you recieved email regarding the passport pickup? Planning to cross the boarder this week or next depending on the weather situation.

    Not yet. The officer said between 5 to 10 working days.

    It's not compulsory. Your police certificate is valid for 2 years. My DQ was Dec 2023 and had my interview in Feb 2025 with the same RCMP police certificate. Just make sure you go with the original, since they'll retain it at the consulate.

    My experience closely mirrors that of @monk_yatso, with the key difference being that my appointment was scheduled for 9:45 AM, and the entire process took approximately three hours to complete. During the interview, I was asked about my highest qualification, the institution where I obtained it, my field of research, any previous visits to the USA, and my intended place of stay in the country. I’m pleased to share that our IVs were approved, and the status has now been updated to 'Issued' on the CEAC website.     @mgsctravels Do we need to pay any fees aside the medical fees before the interview?

    If you’re in medical field with job offer, then they can expedite the process for you. Otherwise, all EB applicants are in the same pool. It depends on your PD and DQ dates.

    I checked my case status now and it has changed to in transit. We might get our IL soon. My DQ is Dec 26 2023.
