  1. Good afternoon, I warned you that I might ask some silly questions but here goes. There are two sections in the on-line application to renew the PR card where it gives the following instruction.... In the instructions it says to list your activities in order from the most recent to the oldest. If I enter the newest address first it shows at the bottom of a list of three. So should I enter the oldest address first so it shows at the bottom of the list?? I don't want to get rejected because of the order in which it appears. So simply put (I hope), should I enter most recent first and it appears at the bottom of the list of three, or enter the oldest first so the most recent appears at the top of the list of three. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  2. Good morning, First off, thank you to all of you for helping me bring the REAL issue into focus. Most importantly, I am so sorry Ontarkie that I did not take the time to investigate when you advised me to do so. If I came off as dismissive I did not mean to be. Thank you so much for your help. Appleblossom and Mam I also want to thank you too. You have guided me to a path to perhaps get this done with far less effort. I will have more questions and I would appreciate the guidance you can all give as we march along. I am now in my 70's and I have to admit that after getting my wife's PR to Canada and my own green card (twice) I am just about immigrationed out. I am now digging in to getting set up on the portal to make the online application for a PRTD and the renewal of the PR card. The guide specifies that my wife must have a PRTD so I assume that she cannot simply go to Canada on a tourist visa because she is a resident and not a tourist. I will post progress here and I hope you are all kind enough to help me what is sometimes anxiety more than uncertainty. You are all wonderful!!
  3. OMG!! I will do some investigating tomorrow and eventually we will have to apply on line. Should I call them or let sleeping dogs lie???
  4. Okay folks....you have rocked me to the core!! Hopefully in a happy way. So here is the detail. We left Canada in 10/2013 so I could take a job in Indiana. We have been in the US ever since. I retired from that job and we stayed in the US. My wife's PR card expired on Mar. 1, 2017 - that is a long time ago. Do you think we re still eligible for this process?? (he asks hopefully)
  5. Thanks. I agree. We are working on it now.
  6. Hello, Thanks for answering. As I understand it if the PR moves back to the US because it is required of the spouse's job then each day out is counted as a day in Canada. I have now been retired 6 years so that is not the case. Thanks though.
  7. Hello, Like many people my wife and I are considering options for our futures. We are both retired and have been married over 20 years. I am native born Canadian and now hold US citizenship also. My wife is a US citizen. She has however had a Canadian permanent resident card - twice before. The first was acquired shortly after we married in the US and she moved to Canada to be with me. A couple of years later we moved to the US to help with an illness in her family. I got my green card for the US with much help from Visajourney folks! After the illness was resolved we stayed in the US for a few years (4) and when the economy fell apart and I lost my job we ended up getting an offer to move back to Canada. My wife once again applied for and was granted a Canadian permanent residency card. Again due to family issues we returned to the US after 2.5 years. We have been back in the US for 11 years. My questions are regarding how we go about getting her approved for permanent residency in Canada again. 1. Is there some process other than starting all over again? 2. Can we move there and have her apply from Canada or do we have to get approval before she arrives? I am sure I will have other questions but let's start there. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
