Hello! This is my first post here, as I've been trying to go over the K-1 form over a while to begin living with my fiance from Canada in the US. Most of filling out the I-129 is relatively straightforward for me, but there are a few things I'm concerned about as far as making a mistake. I'm the only one in my family or that I know personally who's in a situation like this, so I really have almost absolutely no one else to turn to for potentially very important questions, (at least in a reliable way.) I appreciate any and all help, I underlined the questions specifically and just left the context.
Address History: on page 5, I have to list her address for the past 5 years. She's had a regular apartment in a city in Canada that's very ordinary for about 3-4 years now, but before that she was living in a kind of crummy apartment in Hamilton, above a restaurant. The thing is, I believe the address on her lease and the address she actually had mail delivered to were 2 different addresses (the one on the lease did not actually exist for delivery purposes, I think it was owned by Brad J Lamb.) 1. When entering this information into her address history, do I list the address she had mail delivered to, or the address on the lease?
Employment History: She has access to her Record of Employment, which lists various places she's worked (she moved from Hamilton to another city in Ontario), and some of her employment history on the ROE web site looks a little odd due to the pandemic, where it lists her employment at the same location twice, where one is basically normal, and the other one it lists her as quitting on the same day from the same job on but that she started 2 weeks before. As in one employment took place between 2018 and March 2020, and the other took place and ended in the same month of March, for the same location. 2. Should I try to enter information that coincides with what is listed on this website to make it consistently factual with evidence, or does only the actual reality of it matter? Her current job is also not listed on the ROE website because she still works there.
She ended up quitting because they tried to call her back in to work while she was sick. She was unemployed until she moved about a year later, and has been employed ever since.
Also, for the history questions, 3. should I exclusively list address and employment history for 5 years, (as in, if she lived in the same place between 2017 and 2020, should I just start from 2019, or just list the whole time she was there?)
I work somewhere I have to regularly apply and list my history as well, and the people who file my applications for ID for me ask me to put down history for 5-10 years by the day/month. i.e) 11/2019 even if I've worked at the same place for over 10 years.
Parent Information: Between both of her parents, her father has passed away, and the other is essentially estranged (she has no idea where she lives, but she's sure she's somewhere in Canada because her mother unfortunately has a record which would we believe in likelihood would prevent her from leaving). 4. What should we put for their residences? For her father, who is deceased; and her mother, which we don't know?
Also, does her parents standing have any bearing on the application? She's a very strong and kind person and has no kind of complications or history herself and in spite of them she has grown to become a productive person.
