I acquired US Citizenship by getting my Naturalization certificate earlier last month and have since received my US Passport and successfully renounced my Indian passport as well. I need to travel to India soon (December) to take care of family and wasn't sure if it would be best to apply for an OCI card right away and then a Tourist e-visa if it takes longer or would I need to apply once I come back after my India. I know I cannot apply for an OCI card in India on a tourist visa and I don't plan on staying 6 months continuous. Any advice regarding the best timeline or tips would be greatly appreciated!
