I have been visiting USA with my parents (parents on green card) for a few years now. I am on visit visa. My travel is to Australia, USA, Saudi. I visit but never go beyond the law, never over stay.
I came after 6months with my parents to Austin immigration. They took me to the side in a room without telling my parents who were on wheelchair. My parents were not questioned much just told that why do they not stay here on GC while they can. My dad told them he is winding up slowly as he has a business in home country, he has bought a house in Austin n in a year or so will settle here. Then parents were out on wheelchair.
They took me in the room n officer questioned why I am here I said visiting family. Then they took my phone n left. Then 5 officers came n sat infront of me n started grilling me. They asked me so many questions like go how long will you stay. Show us your tickets back. Why are you here. Do you work. I told them I work back home and I showed them my payslips. I freelance online so moving n working is easy. Then they asked me things about my family here in USA n also kept listening n seeing my phone msgs. They harassed me mentally I was about to cry, i was inside for 2 to 3 hours n my family was outside. My mom was crying. They were sooo rude, ruthless, n then they gave me a one month stay here while I was supposed to go back by end Jan. Well within my visa time.
Now I want to know what is the best way going fwd. what are my options I do not want to stop visiting my family. I don’t want to go so soon also I want to go by end Jan my flight time. Can officers take my phone. Look into my personal things. Harass me with just me in the room. Being a girl what if they touched me. I come from a conservative background we do not meet males like this by ourselves. My dad/mom could have asked to let me be with them while questioning
its a lot going on in my mind. It makes me sick to my stomach thinking of all this. Plz, no harshness I need help. I come from a decent family. Clean background, educated, all my family is on legal straight papers no drama
