  1. Hi! I got scheduled my interview for naturalization. I applied through marriage, although I have been a resident for 5 years by now. My I-751 still appears pending as of now, despite having a scheduled interview for citizenship. The interview notice says I need to bring my spouse's certificate of naturalization. I am not white, and when she married me her mom who is a bit racist decided to cut her out of her life. The mother also has the certificate of naturalization in her house which is hard to obtain for obvious reasons. My wife does have a scanned version of it, but no original. She does have her recently renewed US passport. Is her passport + certificate of naturalization copy enough for the interview? Getting a new certificate is $500+ and a relatively long process, which I am not sure we can get before the appointment. Thanks!
  2. What is WoM? Also, I just noticed I wrote I-765 instead of I-751. Sorry about that. My local office is Chicago. I had an n-400 interview scheduled suddenly in January 2024 but it got de-scheduled 10 days later and there was no movement until July when it moved to "actively under review". I contacted my senator (My house rep is beyond useless) in June, and there was no update until yesterday when they just emailed me this : Dear Mr. NihilistNarwhal This is a follow-up to your request for assistance with I-751 and N400 pending with USCIS. Response to our inquiry is taking longer than expected. Thank you for the opportunity to be of service to you.
  3. Hi! I Got a conditional marriage green card in September 2019. I applied for Removal of conditions in September 2021. My status moved to "fingerprints taken" in Oct 2021 ( And there has been no movement except a transfer to another USCIS office after I moved). I applied for Naturalization in October 2022. It is currently "under active review" and estimated time to completion is 1 day. What should I expect? I would've expected to have the removal of condition interview before the naturalization, but at these point, should I expect a combo interview? Is the estimated time to completion somewhat accurate?
