Thank you for responding. He has never lived in Germany or been there. He currently lives in Cyprus. We know there's a mistake or miscommunication somewhere, we just don't know where. I reached out to DOS and they said they can't do anything that we need to reach out to embassy. I did send Frankfurt embassy an email. I hope they respond soon. We thought about reaching out to the embassy in Nigeria. I will do that and hope for the best.

Good afternoon. We filed for the K1 back in early March 2024. We got an approval late May. We got a letter stating our petition has been sent to Department Of state. We didn't hear anything or get any letter email or mail. We inquired in July from DOS and was told that our petition was sent to the embassy or Consulate in July. Still no letter mail or email. We are just patiently waiting for the next steps. Fast forward to a few days ago, I received a letter from the embassy in Frankfurt saying our petition had expired. The embassy we picked to be interviewed at is in Nigeria. I'm just confused as to why Frankfurt would have our petition. There was no communication to let us know anything. The last letter was from USCIS. We wouldn't have know our case was sent to DOS if we didn't inquire. I just don't know what to do or who to contact. I have emailed Frankfurt and haven't received a reply yet. Any help or directions would be greatly appreciated
