I used the new Avits application and can confirm I was able to book and pay for an interview in Côte d'ivoire. We are going on two months now and we never received ANY instructions from them. I only received my case number through public inquiry and our petition sat in Côte d'Ivoire, Ready, for a month. No email or letter but I'm not surprised, I spent two weeks there. When you go to certain restaurants, you order food like you're at the bar. Whoever is taller, hungrier and more bold gets served first lol. It was the end of January when I logged in and there were available appointments February 11th and the 24th so it wasn't a matter of backlog, it was just the way the do things. So far she went to her medical exam and everything went perfect. No conflicts or scheduling problems. They required her ds160 print out and x8 passport style photos. I fed ex delivered everything she needed to complete the medical and up coming interview

When it says ready, book your interview date. Give yourself time to complete the medical exam (~3 weeks) so it can be sent to the embassy before the interview. You have everything you need now. The rest of this process depends on you now

Book the medical Surprisingly everything is going smooth for now, fingers crossed. She has all her documents now, her medical exam requires x8 photos. I sent her a fed ex package with the I 134, tax information, photos, extra copies of the appointment letter, copies of exam appointment, our approved NOA2 copy, fresh letter of intent to marry and some pictures of us on vacation for evidence. My first responses of being patient, I was under the impression it wasn't possible to proceed unless I had the welcome letter but it seems it's possible if you're detailed, read everything and follow the steps. You'll have to create an account on a third party website to pay and schedule the interview because it's now in their country and they need to get paid separate from USA. Register, use your email. I tried with my fiancé email and she never got the registration verification email. When I used mine, I go it asap. Pay the fee and schedule. Fiancé will need to bring the print page to her interview appointment for proof of payment. Fiance needs to brings ds160 and everything else to appointment. Be patient and proactive. If your wait time gets past 4 weeks of actual processing (NVC Timeframe case creation) start asking the NVC for your welcome letter through public inquiry. Be very polite, understanding and respectful. I've heard some actually contact the embassy as well through email because you should now have the address of the foreign embassy in the K1-FTP email with the case number. Stay blessed

You'll receive an email roughly the same time your beneficiary is contacted. My fiancé is from Côte d'ivoire and she has a local post office that calls her when she receives mail and then she goes and picks it up. Not exactly she about Ghana. The DS-160 can be filled out from the CEAC website with only your case number. Just be careful because it's only valid for 60 days and there's no way to recover a lost account. So save often and remember you security question. Each embassy is different. I've heard that some consulate want you to wait for the welcome letter with clear instructions on how to proceed and won't appreciate you jumping ahead without instructions. Some jump right in and fill out ds160 and schedule an interview and medical examination. You've made it this far, continue to be patient and follow instructions. Check the "NVC Timeframe" website. They are creating case for applications received the 27th of December today. With the holidays, I'm going to forget about the last week or December and first week of January and start counting after them. You can always send in a public inquiry to the NVC asking what to do next as each petition has an expiration date. My fiancé read forums from Côte d'ivoire and everyone said wait for the welcome letter. Processing should be prompt from here on out so don't mess it up being impatient

I'd be more concerned about my lady than the 12 month probation is what I was hinting at. But if you know and think she's a good lady and worth the investment, it's a beautiful thing. I highly recommend learning Spanish to fluent level to keep the connection strong between you two. Imagine everywhere you go, she's able to meet, talk and listen to other Spanish speakers, but you're left out, wondering what's going on because you can only say hola. It gives them the tenancy to wander or lose interest if she's not stimulate at home in her native language. Just a general statement, it's not true for all

Marijuana is popular, but it seems like this was a bit of a surprise to you. Did you know she smokes? Do you think she can stop for 12 months? How do you feel about her arriving to the US where there's millions of Spanish speakers and marijuana is nearly legal? Do you speak Spanish? I've read so many story regarding latinas who come to the US. It can be a challenge.

You are absolutely correct, Thanks. That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm extremely grateful for the approval (NOA2) in such a short time with no major issues. To me I realize that's big. It's tricky explaining the details to my fiance. She's from Côte d'ivoire Africa and speaks French and Baoulé. My French is coming along well. At first I was telling her how quick we were going to be together, now I have to explain to her, who know when it's going to happen. This ordeal nearly has me speaking fluently which is a blessing. A month ago I explained to her that our communication is the first child we created together and she really liked that. She's been teaching me correct French for the last year. We tease each other and laugh for hours like two big kids. It's simulating and loving. It low key feels like it's only been a few weeks. My bachelor lifestyle will end so there's no rush giving up this great time. I realize I still have more working on myself to do and this wait is a blessing. I'll probably go visit her in February. Yes, it's an approved I 129f that was approved August 13th. Received one RFE and replied to it, one week later we were approved. Our approved petition won't get sent to the NVC though. I noticed they moved the California location the day before on August 12th. I know it's it's just not fair and I can't do anything

We contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and confirmed that they still have your approved immigrant petition. USCIS is working on your petition and will forward it to NVC once their review is complete. Our K1 was approved August 13th without any further progress. Is this an automated reply or are they actually still reviewing our case?

It's all good, at least there's progress. When I got my RFE, I replied lighting fast and sent the evidence priority mail. We were approved a week after the received our info.

Thanks for the advice. Still at approved by USCIS. Not even attempting to send it or update our status. I'm going to ask again through PI and reach out to a politician. They are creating cases sent to them on October 8th and we were approved August 13th

I was approved on August 13, it's October 27th and they still haven't even sent out approved application to the NVC. My USCIS status is stuck at approved. 3-4 months to send a petition is daunting....

I read through you other post. I can see paying for preparing the documents but not monthly subscriptions. There will be about a year of just waiting. I'm detailed and only got one RFE after submitting my application by myself in April 2024. We're now approved and waiting to be sent to the NVC. Download the I129f application and use Adobe to translate the language if needed. I did this and sent it to my fiance in French. We used Whatsapp for her communication. She sent me every field as a message in Whatsapp and I filled in the application. 12a.__<answer>___ She sent me every field like this. My birth certificate, US citizen, was all that was needed to submit the application like someone else pointed out. So requesting the beneficiaries translated certificate seems suspect. They should be able to fill out his date of birth with the one you have. The beneficiaries documents are not needed at this point. This is the initial approval stage. Study the application from beginning to end, you'll familiarize yourself with what is exactly needed and avoid wasting money. That money should be for you two to sit back and enjoy through your efforts of loving team work. Your man should be responsible and mature about this process, yellow flag. You did the right thing by talking to him about your feelings. This process isn't for one partner to stress about alone.
