  1. Thank you both for the replies. Unfortunately the NBI website is telling her that ID can't be found. Doing some Googling, it looks like this happens with some numbers, preventing you from renewing online. She has a brother in Manila, so our plan is to sign up for an account on the NBI clearance website (done) and apply for an application, selecting renewal and passport as the document. When we are further in the process (we just mailed in the K-1 package yesterday), she'll set up an appointment online, and send her brother her expired NBI clearance, a copy of her passport, a 2x2 photograph, and a Letter of Authorization, for him to go and claim it, and then mail it to her. Would this work?
  2. Thank you for the reply. Yes correct, I meant for the interview, after I submit the I-129F. She does have her expired NBI clearance from 2021. You said PSA Serbilis website, but isn't the NBI done via the NBI website? When clicking the link for "NBI Clearance Online Renewal" on the NBI website and entering in the info, the page does not appear to load for either of us, on multiple browsers. She was able to make an account though with Application Type as "Renew." So you recommend seeing if the system will let her request one online and have it sent to her in UAE? If it does, there shouldn't be anything additional needed? Also, we've been trying for our lives to figure out what determines whether or not she actually needs the NBI clearance (and CENOMAR). Is it because she is a Philippines citizen? If we were to apply through the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi, would she still need the NBI clearance and CENOMAR? Thanks!
  3. Hello everyone. First time posting. My girlfriend and I are in the beginning stages of the K-1 process. I am the US citizen (CT) and she is the beneficiary (from Philippines, but living and working in the UAE). We are just about done with the I-129F package and were starting to look ahead at the next phases. We are confused about the NBI clearance, and when she needs to have this and the rest of her documents relative to the interview - beforehand or when she shows up for the interview. She has lived in the UAE for 8 years, so we believe she will need a police clearance from UAE and an NBI clearance, CENOMAR, and her birth certificate from the Philippines. We are trying to figure out if she actually needs to go back home to the Philippines to get her documents. Can she obtain the NBI clearance while in the UAE? She does have an expired NBI clearance from 2021, and we were able to create an account for her on the NBI website. She does not have any relatives in Manila to help. Googling shows us it can and can't be done online, that you need to go to the Philippines to do this, that you can do it all online and have it mailed to you, etc. Lot of contradictory stuff. We're also not sure if she'll need fingerprints taken, and how that works if the clearance is done online. Does anyone have any info that might clear this up for us? Or even better, is there anyone who was/is in a similar situation to her with living abroad that can shed some light? Thanks!
