  1. UPDATE We entered the US with no issues at all. The officer asked when my daughter will leave and I told him we both leave in 2 weeks and he looked at me and said welcome home. I truly think that if you have no intentions to lie or overstay then you should be fine with entering *and existing* the US.
  2. So happy for you and hopeful that my turn is next as we share the same PD !!
  3. Actually that is a good point, I believe because the beneficiary is a minor there arent police certificates or an abundance of documents (did not find much information online). Thankfully I am in a country with a relatively available interview slots...also not sure whether a 14 years old will have to go through an interview given that when we submitted the I130 she was 13 years old
  4. thanks @appleblossom it is indeed 30 April 2024
  5. Thank you for the details..I have triple checked that she does not qualify for US citizenship at birth unfortunately
  6. Oh thanks for clarifying! That is right, we left when I was younger. And given that her father is not a USC, I could not automatically pass on citizenship
  7. Of course, I understand they can have doubts. That is why I am just thinking of all the possible valid documents to prove that our intention is to leave. It is frustrating that there are some of us who try to do things the right way by applying for the petition and waiting while others go the other route and then we are left scurrying to prove intentions
  8. I am an American citizen by birth and my daughter is Canadian.
  9. with me as I have 100% custody Not sure how that is relevant but I was born there
  10. Thank you for the feedback. Her father and I are divorced and I have had sole custody for the past 7 years, so will also travel with the custody and divorce documents
  11. I am USC who has submitted an I130 on behalf of my 14 years old Canadian daughter in April 2024. The I 130 is still pending but I would like to take my daughter to visit the US as we are purchasing a home. She obtains a visa on arrival, so will not need to apply for one prior. I have no intention of staying in the US with her, and have proof through her school, rent, bank accounts, car and holiday booked and paid for after our return from the US. Will that be okay or should I anticipate any issues at the border?
  12. Applying for my daughter - did your status change to under review?
  13. That's what I am hoping for, because 170 days into it and the application has still not made it someone's desk is scaring me. My daughter is only 14 and I am her sole custodian so this tough
  14. I am a UCS submitted I130 for under 21 child on 30 Apr 2024 and also still stuck at received and notice sent. Has your case been moved to actively reviewed?
