  1. thank you both again, my last question really is, until our conditional green card expires, is there any form do we need to fill? or anything we should do or complete or notify? (besides address updates with uscis) anything we are supposed to do other than updating address when moved? my wife moved into my apartment and we didn't fill or submit any forms since she entered the usa. i'm asking because i am hearing people lose their green card for missing small things these days and they get into trouble when removing conditions. so far we got our ssn but no green card. my wife moved into my apartment and we didn't fill or submit any forms since she entered the usa. thank you.
  2. thank you both, it looks exactly like this. one last question please if you can help me understand this, i can't find i94 record for my spouse. is this normal, it says "record not found" is i94 not available or needed for green card holders?
  3. hi, yes it has a date on it. it doesn't say entry date but it has a date when we entered.
  4. hello dear community, my spouse entered the usa (ny airport) with cr1 visa. She got admitted and they put a stamp on her passport. This stamp only says CLASS: CR1 It doesn't have any expiration date It doesn't have anything like "Upon Endorsement Serves as Temporary I-551 Evidencing Permanent Residence of 1 Year" We need to travel and come back in october, In october my spouses' cr1 visa will be expired. If she doesn't receive the actual plastic green card, will we have a problem entering? I am reading that most i551 stamps have this statement ("upon...." any advise will be appreciated. thank you.
  5. hi yes we paid before arriving. can you please share which website i can use to track?
  6. as the title says, it has been more than 3 months since i arrived the usa and i never got my physical green card. i am anxious to carry passport. i don't have any numbers to query as well. What should i do other than waiting if any? thanks community.
  7. hi, so you are saying if she lived in the usa, she does NOT need a police report right? so we are good?
  8. thank you, i don't know what tt electronic post-mark is when i e-filed my taxes with turbotax, it generated a 1040 form. it has all my info. but it doesn't have any signuture, so is it okay if i simply forward that pdf to my spouse? or do i have to print, sign (there is no place to sign btw) and mail?
  9. i was afraid this would happen to me. even though many people (and i agree with them) say no need to bring 2024 taxes or fill a new i864 form(now there is an updated version). so with this info, do people think i should print, fill and upload a new i864? (i am the petitioner) Also, do i need to sign my 1040 tax return? i just emailed a copy but it was generated by turbo tax and i didn't sign. thanks for advice.
  10. Hi pushbrk, I have similar question - my wife was a student for 1 year in new york. Does she need police clearance because she lived in new york more than 6 months? She did not work, she just went to school. She was on F1 visa but she departed before we got married.
  11. i am also trying to find out this answer, on this forum i saw so many mixed answers embassy doesn't specially ask for it but it only says "bring originals of documents uploaded to ceac" but i don't know if they mean applicant or everybody. do we need to bring ALL originals of petitioner's documents too? Some documents are only digital but i don't want to mail my naturalization certificate, will that be a problem? please let me know if you ever find out an answer..
  12. is there a certified copy of natulization certificate? we only have 1 original (we shouldn't lose it) and scan/copy of it. can we just bring the scan of it, or should we get certified copy? i don't even know how to get it.
  13. Hello, my spouse has an interview coming up for CR1 visa abroad. I am in the USA. In the interview email sent from embassy, it says "originals of copies" must be with my spouse at the interview. I am confused if I need to physically mail original of my naturalization certificate, passport or divorce documents(I was previously married). We uploaded these to NVC before the interview. Is it okay if I scan the certified/original divorce document and email to my spouse? Thank you.
  14. thank you for answers!!! but please understand my question: of course my spouse knows about my past. of course she knows i had a divorce, i didn't have kids. but i am asking: does my wife need to memorize all details like: where i met my ex how i met my ex when did we get married where did we get married why did we get divorced i don't even remember some of this top of my head, if you can clarify it for me, i will appreciate.
  15. Thank you folks, i want to clarify something in case i was not clear.. of course my wife knows about my divorce, and we have nothing to hide. i'm just asking if my wife needs to know (by heart) date of my previous marriage, date of divorce, full name (first and last) of my previous wife. like as if she is in an exam. Or how we(I and my previous wife) met, how i met my previous wife, where we lived with exact dates.. does she(my current wife) really need to memorize all this? thank you if you can clarify this.
