  1. Thanks Yes, we have already submitted 5535.
  2. I received an email stating that the documents were returned and that I should collect the passport from theircollectioncenter. However, my case status has not changed to "issued" or "approved" but is marked as "ready," while my husband's status shows as "refused." This could indicate that his visa application is refused?
  3. Hello Could someone please clarify if the embassy acknowledges the submission of Form 5535? If not, is it possible for us to email them to confirm its receipt?
  4. It means we need to send original not photo copies
  5. After my interview, I received a 221(g) notice requesting additional documents. Here’s my situation and questions: 1. Documents Requested: I need to send my birth certificate, family registration certificate (FRC), and passport by courier. 2. Clarification Needed: Should I send the original documents, or are notarized copies sufficient? 3. Case Status: Currently, my case status is showing as "refused." However, the interviewer mentioned that my case is otherwise fine as long as I submit these documents. 4. Processing Time: After submitting the requested documents, how long can I expect the processing to take? Thank you for any guidance on this process.
  6. Is it necessary to update the DS-260 Form before interview as my husband has retired and started a new job? We've already updated our residential address. Also do we have to upload it while using nvc login and Password?
  7. Interview and visit to the U.S Embassy in Islamabad
  8. I have a few questions regarding our upcoming interview and embassy visit: 1. Can we visit the embassy in our own vehicle since we have Diplomatic Enclave passes? Our children attend school within the Diplomatic Enclave, and we also have friends residing there, so parking should not be an issue. 2. Is it necessary to update the DS-260 form now that my husband has retired and started a new job? We've already updated our residential address. 3. Do we need to bring a separate photocopy of the I-864 form for each family member during the interview?
  9. Hi everyone, We have visa interviews coming up at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, and our group already has access cards for the Diplomatic Enclave, so parking isn’t a problem for us. Does anyone know if we can drive directly to the embassy, or do we still need to use the shuttle service? Any recent experiences would be really helpful!
  10. Want to add "You do not need to bring your Affidavit of Support or financial evidence you submitted to NVC". This is written on NVC website. Is it true? Can someone explain because according to my understanding I 864 original is must for interview.
  11. I have a question about the interview: Do we need to bring the original Affidavit of Support (I-864), or is a copy sufficient?
  12. The family includes the principal applicant, their spouse, and two children. Additionally, could you please clarify where we should submit the joint sponsor’s withdrawal notice, or if it's acceptable to bring it directly to the interview?
  13. Thank you for your advice. If we need to withdraw a joint sponsor, do we need to notify the NVC, even though our case has already been transferred to the relevant embassy? Also, is it mandatory for the joint sponsor to submit the withdrawal request, or can we do it on their behalf? Lastly, would a combined stock and cash amount of half a million dollars be sufficient for a family of four?
  14. I want to clarify that this is regarding an F4 visa at the interview stage. 1. The joint sponsor is not providing their most recent tax returns, but we have sufficient funds to support ourselves. Do we still need to find second joint sponsor at this stage ( few days before interview), or will proof of our own funds be sufficient? 2. If we decide to introduce second joint sponsor just a few days before the interview, what should we do? i- Should we notify the NVC or embassy before the interview? ii- Should we inform them on the interview day that the first joint sponsor is no longer available, and we are adding a second one? iii- Or should we provide only the petitioner's tax returns and proof of our own funds while explaining that the original joint sponsor is no longer available? Please advise which option would be best.
