    My fiance filled out the DS 160 as soon as the case was enroute to the embassy. I emailed them to get some information on how long to expect until we get an interview date. They said they could not give that information, but it is dependent on load and availability, but they emailed us within a week saying we could select an interview date. Maybe the email helped? From the time they received the case to interview, it was one month. That does not seem typical for Ghana, so I'm not sure if things are just starting to speed up for all cases...

    @Jniour @Malolyon Have either of you gotten your interviews yet? If so, how long was the wait. I tried to ask them for a little bit of an idea. I guess they don't want to make any promises, and they said they can't give any more information besides they will email us.

    We received NOA2 on April 1st, and it was sent to DOS on May 20th. Even 4-6 weeks is hopeful right now. That was 7 weeks.

    Our case was sent to DOS May 20, sent inquiry June 3rd and received case number June 9th. They send to the embassies every 2 weeks, so we are hoping it will go out this coming Tuesday or Wednesday.

    Alright. Yes, I did see on the website that they made it that you can do the interview right away if everything is complete at the prescreening appointment, but I did not know that you wait to pay the visa fee until that time. Did they give you any idea how long it might take for an appointment? We have our NOA2 now, but it's still hard to plan because timing is so unknown. I guess, "Be flexible, or be miserable."

    Have you figured anything out with your payment and scheduling?

    The information about them scheduling a date for you is from others who have done it recently since the new system was put in place. I would think you would still have to request for an interview anyway, but I have not done it myself yet. Waiting for NOA2.

    AVITS Website Are you using this site? It is the new site for some African countries. From what I understand, they will now send you an interview date. You do not schedule online. And the US embassy of Ghana lists K1 as an immigrant visa.
