Ohh Okay… So it would look suspicious if he is staying on his FLR? He does intend to move to the US as I applied for him in 2023. During interview, if they ask him what his plans were after FLR runs out and in case he wouldn’t get US visa, can he say that he would just go back to his home country?

When I filed I-130 for my spouse, he had student visa. He has been in UK for about 3 years on student visa. Now after 1.5 years, it’s expiring by the mid Feb. However, we are still waiting to get a welcome letter from NVC. It seems like he might be getting the interview by March or April (the earliest). He is planning to apply for FLR to get some time. Would they refuse his visa if they see that his FLR is in process but his student visa has expired? Any help/ advice would be truly appreciated!

Hey, no update yet! I contacted NVC again and was given the same response. I am waiting a few more days before reaching out to my senator. They may or may not help, but I don’t see why we should not

Thank you so much, miha25 and OldUser. I just contacted a live agent through Emma, and she said the USCIS no longer has the jurisdiction of my case - please contact the NVC. I hope this means something good!

Hey Everyone! I was approved on Nov 12th but I have not received anything from NVC. So I contacted NVC last week, and they haven’t received my approved petition from USCIS yet. It is going to be 3 weeks tomorrow. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m trying not to panic but is this normal? 🥺 They also told me not to contact them again before 60 days 😓

Same PD here! I got the second active review and found the approval letter in the documents. I hope everyone here receives their approval very soon. Stay hopeful 🥹

Does anyone know what dates of August they are currently processing? I have not seen approvals past Aug 10th

My estimate also said any day now. I just checked and it’s now between Oct 15th to Dec 1st. But this is just an estimate. We don’t know how accurate this is for everyone, and they already started approving Aug cases. Lets stay hopeful 🙏
