    It looks like all processing is now on hold due to PM-602-0194 if you are one of the 75 countries. They are not issuing any new cards and looking in depth into all application under the new declarations from the president. Anyone else noticed this? As a result, we are now renewing her license with a SAVE case and requesting an ITIN for the tax filing. If you are a first timer for ITIN like us, you will need to file W-7 with your federal tax return and original passport or other docs to prove identity and status. Do not file state return until the ITIN is returned with the passport. If time is up and you must file, do so but know that any refunds won't process until you provide an ITIN.

    We get it. It is frustrating that we see the May filers thread has everyone approved the next day and their work permits approved a month or 2 before then but our case is now 22 days after the interview with no action and the EAD is still pending after 75 days unlike May filers. It seems that everyone after May aside from us are not active here so we have no idea if we are the norm or exception nowadays.

    We had the interview nearly 4 weeks ago. No decision as of yet. I have seen here the averages are about 2 weeks after the interview for a decision. Should we be concerned?

    So we talked to a supervisor, we need to come back to renew with the notice. Also, we got an initial interview. Is this the interview or something else?

    my wife passed her driver skills test in MI. She went to the SOS and got only a driver license for 1 month because that is what the system is showing for her legal status. She was told to bring document proving her status when her case is updated. We showed the notice of action and the biometrics notification but they said they were not enough as it provides no end date for the status. So frustrating. What should we do?

    I was advised (a)(6) unless you have a pending I-485, then you use (c)(9)

    I may have misunderstood who is the applicant. I-131 is not just a travel document but also a parole document and documentation access document. I have been advised that currently USCIS do not necessarily extend your status based on pending application including for family based immigration and was advised that submitting I-131 is advisable to get a parole in place in the US even if your status expire under K-1 visa on the I-94 as you are technically without status as soon as you got married. This is mainly to avoid any unwanted flags with ICE.

    I see in your timeline you submitted only I-485. Did you not submit I-131 to extend his status? Doesn't your husband want a work permit hence file I-765 as well?

    Got a reply from USCIS. Apparantly I had a double whammy and they only told me one. I will have to wait for a second rejection to file. First issue: Not a separate filing fee form Second issue: They update the form in January and I used the one from August last year. Waiting on the rejection letter to add the required page but prepared all "correctly" This time. Note: Turns out I was also sending to the wrong lockbox not belonging to my state :D. I need my glasses more often than I thought.

    I sent them together but I did not have separate checks. I figured that part out after some research. I am guessing that is why they rejected it?

    We just got a rejection for the I-765 saying we submitted the wrong filing fee. for K-1 under (c)(9) with a pending I-485 I can only see $260. Are we missing something?

    USCIS Cashed $2070 yesterday, namely for I-485 and I-131. We received a text message with the case numbers and waiting for the letters. I-765 EAD $260 was not cashed and no information about the case yet. I assume a different department within USCIS or something.

    Starting a forum for October 2025 filers from K1. our filed was received in Chicago today. I saw in January filers many had 3 months for the EAD and 7-8 months for the GC. hoping for the same

    I initially got it by submitting an inquiry form asking for it. Eventually I got a notification in the email with an RTF saying that they are sending it to the wrong embassy and giving numbers

    MalloryCat, Thank you for your reply. I noticed your timeline. Can you tell me the meaning and what happened for the dates between Consulate received and the interview please? What is Packet 3? Why did it take from 4/11 to 7/09 for the interview?
