  1. I applied for ROC in 2021 and for naturalization in 2022. Both interviews took place in 2023, where I went with my husband. The officer began to suspect me due to the recent issue date on my ID, which I explained was because I lost my wallet and had to get a new one. I don’t think that convinced her. During the interview, my husband answered questions about our house in detail unlike me cos I was nervous . The officer then asked him to step out and conducted my naturalization interview, which I passed. However, she questioned why we don’t have children. I explained my attempts and hospital visits over the years. She requested documents, including my old driver's license, which I promptly uploaded after our appointment. Three months later, with no response, I contacted my senator, who reached out on my behalf. Subsequently, I received a notice for another interview and was asked to bring specific documents, including a transcript. I mistakenly brought a tax return instead. The officer explained how to obtain the transcript, and I submitted it the same day. Now, nine months later, I’m still waiting. The senator has followed up multiple times. Recently, I received a letter stating my case is under active review. Just a few days ago, two officers visited our home when my husband wasn’t there. They noted our moving boxes, as we are preparing to move after eight years so they took pictures of the empty house, my ids and my husband mail. They saw a couple of my husband’s belongings and asked me questions, then left. I’m confused about the visit, especially since they didn’t find much. How long should I expect to wait for a response?
