  1. Yes it was denied because the consulate believed that our relationship was not genuine. I thought we prepped for everything but they asked my fiancee about a restaurant that we ended going to while on our trip and she didn't remember it and gave general directions. It also a high fraud country so I get it. we'll be more proactive about documentation where we go this time around. I also think we didn't have a big enough timeline which may have been a red flag. honestly the K-1 Visa application went by pretty fast that it caught us all off-guard. I was expecting it to happen next year and not this year, we had gotten an interview within 6-7 months.
  2. My Fiancee was just denied the K-1 Visa, sadly I had a feeling this was coming. I'm trying to research alternatives on what to do and I stumbled on the Utah Virtual Marriage, is this a possible alternative path for us? I would like to pursue this path because Cambodia is corrupt and we're looking at a possible month to 1.5 months to get the documents just to marry. which is really unfeasible due to my job. I had already planned to see her this upcoming weeks, so i'm thinking this is a good way to also get a head start on the CR-1 Path.
  3. Update, I talked with the Lawyers and a date change would be hard and they stopped letting fiancees into the Embassey every since Covid. So i'm just gonna give her my ticket info and other info and place that as part of our evidence package and to let them know I will be flying in next week 😞.
  4. Sadly that won’t be possible. I work in Finance and October is a blackout month for work as we have to prepare for Q3. If I could, I would.
  5. Hmmm currently freaking out right now about right now. I had booked tickets to go and visit once more this november, as I was expecting her application to take alot longer. Fiancee K-1 visa application was approved relatively fast by UScIS and her interview date is scheduled to occur end of October. Literally 1 week before i’m scheduled to arrive. I heard if the beneficiary goes alone they grill them alot harder and cambodia is notorious for rejections. We also got some red flags. - 8 year age gap 22 her and me 29. - Soft introduced by parents, mom showed me her pictures and I reached out on FB first - We got engaged on first visit. - i’m cambodian-american(not sure if this is a red flag or not but there were cases of fraud occuring a decade ago) Should I ask them to push out the interview date by 2-3 weeks and then I can be there in person with her, is that even possible?
