  1. No I just got a paper at the interview time saying to bring the divorce papers and my wife’s last w-2 and a joint sponsor
  2. They didn’t send me any notice just at the interview he gave me a paper saying that I need to bring the divorce papers and my wife’s w-2 and a joint sponsor
  3. I totally respect the consular request. at the interview time I only provided the tax returns papers and because of my wife’s income is mostly social security benefits which is not taxable income and the rest from working at a restaurant and adding that up it’s more than enough and I thought maybe after providing the w-2 and award letter from the social security benefits and a letter from the employer, The embassy might see that we have enough income and we don’t need a joint sponsor anymore I don’t know 🤷‍♂️
  4. Thank you for your response. The thing is that we don’t have a joint sponsor at the moment it’s very difficult to find one and I don’t know exactly how much time I still have until I get a joint sponsor ? I’m worried that my visa application would expire.
  5. Yes the consular gave me a paper says that I need to bring the divorce papers and to get a joint sponsor so I took the divorce papers and my wife’s w-2 and a letter from her employer and award letter from the social security benefits I thought maybe they will Not ask again for a joint sponsor but they emailed us saying that they still need a joint sponsor so I emailed them back asking for a clarification on why do I need one so they emailed me back saying to bring the divorce papers without saying anything about the joint sponsor
  6. Hello Everyone My wife is an American citizen and we’ve been married for over 3 years and just Now in august I had my interview at the us embassy in my home country and The interview went smooth until the consular officer told me that I need a joint sponsor Even though my wife’s income is sufficient but most of her income is social security benefits and 1500 dollars each month from working at a restaurant maybe that’s why he’s asking for a joint sponsor and he asked me to bring my wife’s divorce papers also which is Normal , so I emailed them to ask for clarification on why do I need a joint sponsor and they emailed back saying nothing about the joint sponsor they just said this ( Thank you for your e-mail. We did upload (1) the petitioner’s W-2s, (2) Form 1099-SSA, and (3) letter from her employer. The marriage certificates are fine, but all the divorce papers are copies. Please provide certified copy or original of the six divorce records.) I really don’t know if this means that they don’t need a joint sponsor anymore 🤷‍♂️ can someone help me please understanding what they mean and how much time left I still have to find a joint sponsor? Thank You 🙏
