  1. Hello, I got this message from NVC: "Please Submit Every 2023 1099 Form and W-2 Form for Petitioner" Here's the problem, I submitted Tax Returns, they got reviewed, then I got RFE before for 1099 Form, W-2 Form, and Schedule. I submitted all separately and Schedule was accepted, but 1099 Form and W-2 Form was rejected with the reasoning "Please Submit Every 2023 1099 Form and W-2 Form for Petitioner" I am not familiar with U.S. Tax Documents so I submitted everything my Petitioner sent and thought was appropriate. Could anyone kindly send examples of these documents and how long they are (pages) because a lot of time is being wasted in this back and forth and even my Petitioner is confused about the documents required.
  2. @appleblossom Oh that's a shame, is there no relief given due to the extra time it took for processing the reinstatement? What should my realistic next steps be? I'd prefer to bring my son with me if possible. He was 19 when we received the welcome letter and were told to pay the fees. Should I consider an attorney?
  3. @appleblossom We got the Welcome Letter (attached further below) from NVC in 2019 is what I mean. However, see this letter from NVC I got in March 2006, I'm not sure what it exactly is. Please help. 2019 letter:
  4. VISA CLASS: F31 YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: NVC FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: PAKISTAN INTERVIEW LOCATION: ISLAMABAD PRIORITY DATE: 2006 _________________________________________________________________________________________ Our case was filed in 2006 (when my child was 5-6 years old) by my U.S. citizen mother, but she passed away in 2009 (NVC wasn’t informed). The case was approved in 2019 when my child was 19. Does the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) apply? After my mother’s death, my brother, a U.S. citizen, became the substitute sponsor. NVC returned the case to the USCIS in 2019 and it stayed with the USCIS for a long time before finally being approved and sent back to the NVC in 2024. We paid all the fees and submitted the documents, but the NVC removed my son from the case. He is now 23-24 years old. What are the next steps, and how should we proceed? Please see images below.
  5. VISA CLASS: F31 YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: NVC FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: PAKISTAN INTERVIEW LOCATION: ISLAMABAD PRIORITY DATE: 03-JAN-2006 ______________________________________________________________ Hi, I submitted documents today, how long does it take for me to be documentarily qualified (DQ)? 3-4 weeks? Also, my Priority Date is 2006, taking that into account, how far away would my actual interview be after DQ? I know it can take long as well but I would appreciate a realistic timeline (earliest date and latest dates).
  6. VISA CLASS: F31 YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: NVC FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: PAKISTAN INTERVIEW LOCATION: ISLAMABAD PRIORITY DATE: 2006 ------------------------------------------------------------- I am an overseas Pakistani living in Saudi Arabia but originally from Pakistan. Based on my research and information from VisaJourney, it seems the NVC doesn’t require a police certificate from Pakistan. However, my family is insisting that we get it anyway, so I’m looking into how to obtain a Pakistan Police Report. I understand the process, like drafting an authority letter and the required documents. The issue is that I don’t have any relatives or friends in Pakistan right now who I can rely on to handle it for me. I’ve heard about "Mamoo in Pakistan" and "Chachu in Pakistan," but I’m not sure if they're trustworthy services for the entire process (and they also seem to be limited to Karachi, my domicile would be Punjab). Does anyone have suggestions or advice?
  7. VISA CLASS: F31 YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: NVC FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: PAKISTAN INTERVIEW LOCATION: ISLAMABAD PRIORITY DATE: 2006 ------------------------------------------------------------- I am an Overseas Pakistani living in Saudi Arabia but am a Pakistani National originally from Pakistan. I wanted to ask why the NVC has included a Document Type for "POLICE CERTIFICATE (PAKISTAN)" (see attachment 1 below). The NVC Website clearly states "Police certificates are not required for consular processing." for Pakistan (see attachment 2 below) (Link: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Pakistan.html) I have my Saudi Arabia Police Reports ready but don't think I can easily get the Pakistan Police Reports as I can't travel to Pakistan at the moment. The website I linked also mentioned "Visa Classification: The type of nonimmigrant visa you are applying for.", so does it not apply to me since my case deals with Immigration? Any clarification and advice on next steps and what I should do/upload for "POLICE CERTIFICATE (PAKISTAN)"?
  8. As per the CEAC Website: VISA CLASS: F31 YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: NVC FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: PAKISTAN INTERVIEW LOCATION: ISLAMABAD PRIORITY DATE: 2006 ------------------------------------ We have just paid the Affidavit of Support Fee and IV Fee and it has been marked as PAID. We have yet to submit Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence + IV Applications. I wanted to ask:- How long is the process for submitting Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence + IV Application? How long does it take for an interview to be scheduled and how far is it typically scheduled? How long does it take to hear if the Interview was successful? How long do I have to go the USA?
