  1. @appleblossom thanks for info. I was born in India - my case was transferred from Mumbai to LND. I have been here in UK for a while though.
  2. @appleblossom thanks, looking into the members in forums who had their visa’s issues in March, seems like it’s taken way longer for us to get the visa’s ISSUED? Have you seen this happen before? I read randomly on Reddit that some people get their visa’s rejected even after the CO approves verbally during interview- not sure if it’s true for IV. we are a bit worried- although the US embassy website says it can take about 10 days to get passports?
  3. @banang I received the originals on the day of interview. The next day after interview, I got email from US Embassy asking for copies of our docs - they gave us the photocopies of the originals too... not sure why we got this email. The CEAC Status Tracker shows 'READY' status (it has been like that since I was DQ'd), however, the website indicates last updated was today. I did pay for the DX delivery before interview, and no tracker or update on the AIS website.
  4. Invitation letters normally arrive end of month - you could get one this week, if not it could be end of April (as per previous members' experience) You should have all information in the invitation letter on medical booking, next steps List of docs will be in email from embassy/medical booking Call VisaMedicals (only after you receive interview date) VisaMedicals sends report directly to embassy Don't worry, you shall have all the information ahead of time in detailed manner.
  5. Hi Everyone, update on my case. We had our interview on 24th March. the questions were very straightforward and similar to asked before in the forum: What is your profession Do you intent to work in your profession after going to US Where have you lived before coming to UK? Where were your children born The VO said he's happy to approve my visa and I should receive passport in the next 7-10 days. One question to @KVVO @banang @Ricky07 and others who received their passports with visa stamped - did you receive any envelope that you're not supposed to open until you reach US? I read online that not every visa applicant gets this. Nothing was handed over to us after the interview. Also, how do you track the status of passport? Is this the website below: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV Thanks for everyone on the forum for all your help.
  6. @Ricky07congrats on your visa & getting thru - what happens if there isn't MBE location near to where you stay? I suppose the Embassy would check that in advance if visa is granted? My interview is on Monday, so, just trying to understand.
  7. @appleblossom I'm guessing that offer letter is only required for EB1-C applicants and not for EB1A? I've my interview on Monday & I don't have any offer letter. The CO didn't ask for one either when we went for doc check.
  8. @Hamd157 how did the interview go?
  9. Actress & voice over artist... that sounds cool
  10. @KVVO many congratulations!! Live the American dream! If you don't mind, could you share what you do as profession? Do they ask for the sake of it, or actually mean it?
  11. @KVVO Thanks for super quick response and the detailed explanation. That makes me feel better certainly.
  12. duplicate post - deleting this one
  13. @KVVO Sorry to bother you- I wanted to ask if you could share your experience with medicals? As the process has changed to visit the Embassy after the medicals, can you please mention what time was your medicals & how long did it take? Our medicals is scheduled at 10:30am and we're 3 of us (including 3 year toddler!) I was wondering if we would be rushed to reach the Embassy as I read many of the applicants take around 90mins to 2hrs at the medicals. Many thanks for your time.
  14. Hello All, I just booked my interview for 24th March using AIS website - I accidently happened to log onto the website and for a change it was not showing busy! so I hastily booked a date. @KVVO I see you mentioned that the person in Embassy ticked off OK on pink slip that said 'Affidavit of Support/ Proof of Assets' - so I reckon all is ok?
  15. No not needed as it's self petition
  16. Hello Everyone, just read this website below: Not sure how much this would impact, but, I would anticipate slowdown. https://www.boundless.com/blog/us-embassies-brace-for-longer-waits/
  17. @appleblossom Yes, made the biggest mistake of this process - transferring after interview was scheduled. Whoever is reading this - please note - Never transfer your case after interview is scheduled - best to transfer when the case is still at NVC.
  18. @appleblossom thanks
  19. Hello Did you manage to finish your process? How long did it take for you after the case was transferred to book an interview? Seems like case transfer is longer & delayed?
  20. Hello How did you manage to book an appointment? The AIS website always shows me that the system is busy, try again later. Was there a particular time you choose to login and book?
  21. hi all, I checked ceac website and the case status shows "Ready" Does anyone know what to expect next? When does IL is sent, is it after the status is changed to "In transit "?
  22. hi all, I checked ceac website and the case status shows "Ready" and my case is now transferred to London. does anyone know what to expect next?
  23. @banang thanks for the explanation. I contacted the visa medicals, they said I need to get an interview letter first before booking medicals. I think what you said does make sense, once the case is out if NVC and reaches embassy, perhaps NVC's role is finished. I will try to contact Embassy.
  24. @appleblossom actually I didn't get anything specific - below is email I got We are pleased to confirm that we have received an approved immigrant visa petition in your name. Petition approval does not guarantee visa issuance. IMPORTANT:In order to apply for the visa, you are required to complete the steps on our website athttps://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/how-to-apply-2/ Make sure you have all of the documents listed on our website before you book your medical exam or visa interview. Only the Embassy’s panel physician in London can conduct the medical. Disregard any references to sending documents to the National Visa Center (NVC). As your application is being processed by Embassy London, you must take your documents with you to your visa interview. Only a consular officer can decide if you qualify for a visa, following your interview. As we can’t guarantee an outcome by any set date, we caution you against resigning from work, giving up accommodation in the UK or making final travel plans unless you have received your passport containing a valid immigrant visa. No expedited visa processing service is available. Should I contact the NVC and ask them to see if they could book my interview with London now? NVC timeframe indicates they reply in a week. how would it work in case anyone wants to reschedule their IV interviews? Don't they have to go thru the AIS website (which by the way always shows system is busy!) l speculated how things became easier until this!
  25. I'm not sure who would schedule then? Whom should I contact to check?
