  1. I recently filed an expedite request (via my Congressman) for similar reasoning and was quickly denied after several days. I have a special needs child whom recently developed medical conditions that are prohibiting him from going to school, thus causing me to care for him during the day while also maintaining my job. And like you, I am alone with no support system. My expedite reasoning was risk of risk of severe financial loss + humanitarian due to the very real risk of losing my job and the unforeseen medical conditions of my son. I tried to make the case that if my wife is here, she can care for my son so I can work and continue to support our family. This was not a strong enough reason and it was denied. I don't say this to gain sympathy - we ALL want our cases expedited, we all have challenges that would be eased with our spouses by our side. I just want to illustrate that even with a congressman's help and these disability/medical/financial challenges I am facing, it's not enough. It's extremely hard to get an expedite. That said, best of luck to you and all of us here! 😃
  2. Good luck, hope for a speedy adjudication for us all
  3. Hi September 2024 filers! I know it's extremely early in the process but I'm curious if anyone in our group has had movement or updates. Assuming not but you never know! Also, I recently submitted an expedite request via my local Congressman's office (both medical and financial grounds) and was quickly denied. Has anyone else attempted an expedite?
  4. Hi all - just jumping into this thread as well. We filed our I-130 a few days ago. Now the long wait begins!
