  1. Our documents were sent in on Oct 15. On Oct 18, we got an email confirming that the documents were received. Oct 21 was the last time they touched the case. Finally, today, they reached out asking for the SAME documents that were already shipped and confirmed received on Oct 18. They requested a police report and passport pic again, claiming it was expired!!! Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know of a phone number we can call?
  2. hey!! congrats and great to hear that passport was delivered to you within 2 days of being issued. did they expedite it quickly because your medical was expiring? curious to understand how it happened so quickly. these updates are so helpful, thank you!
  3. Refreshing my status like a crazy person…. The elections doesn’t help my anxiety. Anyone know when elected will properly go into office and potentially change things up?
  4. All my docs were received on Oct 15 and they confirmed it’s all there by email. What is the hold up! Last status update on Oct 21. Anyone else stuck with their passports at the embassy? Losing my mind over here.
  5. Hi all - Here's our scenario again: Interview and placed on DS-5535 Aug 15 2023 Submitted form in 2 weeks after Case touched end of Sept 2023 Case touched again beginning of August 2024 Sent email to Montreal embassy Aug 15 2024 Sent email to senators office Aug 20 2024 Got email for passport, police, medical and photos on Sept 13 2024 Update: - Got the hard copy of police report and waiting for medical to be completed before sending everything in. - Emailed twice to see if I can go in to get my passport stamped. No response yet. How long has it taken folks to get a response? It's now been about a week. QUESTION FOR THE TEAM - on Sept 16, 2024 my visa status changed to EXPIRING SOON and when I logged into NVC site, it says the applicant's stuff is "incomplete". Was this the case for everyone?
  6. Hello ;

    Can  you please shed light on the process to contact senator?

    • Which senator you contact?,does the inquiry need to be done by the sponsor or the principal who isn't a US citizen can contact a senator too? who to contact apart from a senator?  Thanks
  7. Hi all - first, thanks to everyone who posts updates here. It’s been so helpful to hear about all the cases and have a better idea of what my timeline could be. Interview and placed on DS-5535 Aug 15 2023 Submitted form in 2 weeks after Case touched end of Sept 2023 Case touched again beginning of August 2024 Sent email to Montreal embassy Aug 15 2024 Sent email to senators office Aug 20 2024 Got email for passport, police, medical and photos on Sept 13 2024 I believe my medical and police will take 10 business days at best. I want to keep my passport as I do day in and out trips in the US for work. Question - for those who brought their passports in person, how did you do this? Is there a way to schedule or did you just show up in Montreal after all files were submitted? I read of a few but not sure how this was arranged! Thanks!
