Hello, my US fiance who will be my sponsor has various convictions/arrests including 2 domestic violence and 3 drug charges. These are over 15 years old. I have tried to do research on whether we can file the forms for a K1 visa ourselves or if we should be assisted by a lawyer. Can anyone help with this? Im from the UK. I have seen information about getting a waiver from a lawyer but it is unclear if thats if the beneficiary has a record or the sponsor. Any help is greatly appreciated!
