My love story is incredible. I went to Ghana on a Christmas vacation several years back and met the most wonderful guy who is now my current fiance. When I returned back to the United States that year so long ago now, everybody had doubts about our relationship being able to last since my fiance lived in Ghana and I lived the United States. But, we made it work, we talked on the phone two or three times a day, sent gifts in the mail, emails and cards.
I also made it a point to go to Ghana to visit for about 2 months every year. This year however I have not yet gone to Ghana because I am hoping this K1 Visa interview comes up in time so I can be there to give him support, he is nervous as well as a shy guy very opposite of me who is loud and rarely shy.
I believe we fell in love at first sight, because when we saw each other for the first time, we were both speechless and for the first time I was nervous which is rare because I am a very confident person. He took me to every club, dinner area in Kumasi and Accra and also he took me to Church. Now, when I visit I usually stay at his house in Ghana with him although I have alot of family in Ghana, our time together is very precious and we want to spend every moment together.
So, now we are at the point in our dating in which he has done the (Knocking) which is have his family and him inform my family that he wants to marry me and we got engaged...and we agreed to have our wedding in America, all my family, friends, college mates, co-workers are all in America and they all know about my fiance and all want to be there for the big day...so that is where we are now and how I landed here on this site seeking help from people who have been in this same process.
